One month saved

Didn't expect to take the NAPFA test today...I wasn't prepared for it at all. But anyway I finally passed, after several tries over many weeks. Well, there were some adjustments here and there...so it wasn't a very fair test compared to others. (Thanks a lot to Mr Alex Tan for his kind understanding) Despite passing, I dun feel really good abt it...but it was a nice effort attempting to salvage that one month. Special thanks to Wenjia who cheered me on and accompanied me during the test...Jialing for helping me to train up for 2.4 for the past few weeks and cheering me on...Kaizhi for letting me pace him in 2.4 and his motivation...as well as the rest of my classmates who expressed concern over my results :) With so many ppl cheering me on, how can I not pass? Last but not least Mr Tan of course...he's such a considerate and thoughtful teacher, unlike that !@#$%& Joe Lim. Ask him go and repair pipes lah.

Talking abt tues, the chem s session was sooo scary, esp for ppl who haven't done their work at all including me. Luckily I survived the random spotcheck and avoided the risk of getting called up to answer qns. That night was the concert, more ppl came than I expected but the overall turnout was still quite bad compared to other performances. I think the no. of performers can match the no. of audiences lol. So much for arts fest...let's see the turnout for the 2nd concert tmr.

So my half day was just gone like that, reached home tired and sleepy. Went to bnet (just looking ard) and saw jz, cx, yc. Luckily they had stopped playing due to lag, otherwise...

On the same night, my hp spoilt cos forgot to take out hp from the sch pants pocket and it was soaked in soap water. Zzz. Then went to buy a new one today...hopefully the functions are much better.

Went to watch The Island after sch yesterday with yc, sk and cx... Nice plot! Quite worth a watch in the theatre. However there is still some things in the movie that I dun understand...

Half-day...Not

It was rare to see Mr Ang coming up to the front of the terraces to give a speech during the combined assembly. As he began to talk abt the recent achievements made by the CCA groups, I already knew what to expect. After all the track and field championship is just over and usually around this time the students would look forward to sth. The 'sth' has finally come, but not in a way I desire it to be. It falls on the very wrong day... True that I get to skip the boring GP lesson and mundane (aka tok cok session) phy prac. However I will not be going home early at all. In fact I'll going home even later than usual. My half day is ruined by some crappy concert which nobody, except the performing groups, cares abt. The 3 tickets that I'm supposed to sell were only given to me this morning when the concert is just tmr night! How to sell 3 tickets within 1 day? Firstly, hc ppl will most likely not go for the concert...what's the point of going back to sch again after an half-day to watch a crappy concert? Secondly, the public also most probably wun turn up cos it falls on an odd weekday where ppl might be too busy to attend. Thirdly, wtf is arts fest abt? What's so special abt this concert? Publicity abt this concert is so poor that nobody else bothers abt it. Enough of bashing the concert, I shall see the turnout tmr. Who knows we'll just be playing to a tiny group of audiences like the size of a class. Anyway back to the half-day: Ok, fine, even if the concert is non-existent, another thing disrupting my half day is chem s! Shitty lor, chem teachers are just so persistent to have their chem s lectures regardless of half-days or holidays. If Singapore were to be invaded by enemies, I guess the chem teachers would insist to finish the lecture first before sending us to the battlefield. Yes, my half day is completely destroyed now...it has become my one-and-a-half day. FOS!

Ok, finally got the overall GP result. C6. Lol...this is so expected that I can bet my life on it! As long as I maintain this standard, I'm safe for the A lvls.

I want a longer weekend

I think the weekend is too short, one blink of an eye and it's all over. Even with the 5-day week thingy I still feel that I'm not enjoying enough...cos I've to reserve some time for dota mah >_< I hate it when the weekend ends, cos I've to stay back in sch for 2 consecutive days for s paper. I wonder when would the s paper sessions come to an end, and whether there would be a s paper test/assessment.

Anyway the dota session on fri was so saddening. We were owned in many games...and only won when there were leavers in the opposing team. Dunno why I kept random-ing the melee heros which I'm not good at. So disappointing. Played a few games after I went home that day to regain my confidence. Random-ed melee heros again but was much better.

Downloaded the Harry Potter EBook a few days ago. Finally after several years of abandoning HP books I plucked up the courage and patient to read them. Haven't been reading fiction books for a long long time. For the past few years, there were many times when I tot of reading the HP books after watching the movie. But after reading a few pages, I gave up...lol. Too impatient liao, I'm never suited to read fiction books anyway. Dun want to waste money to buy books, so downloaded them instead...dun bash me ok?

I'm speechless... Can't believe there is such stupid ppl in the world. But hor, sometimes I dun really understand why ppl want to reveal spoilers even though they knew it was uncalled for. Are they just playing a fool or trying to show off that they have finished reading the book earlier than most ppl. After the 6th HP book was released, spoliers have been spotted around in online forums and msn nicks. In ALL the forums I've been, there is at least a post which says 'XXX died' without any warning:

Eg. (For the sake of illustrating my point, I shall reveal who XXX is. You've hereby been warned)
(Well...I guess the warning is unnecessary since anyone who even goes online shld know who died by now...)

Unprepared

Prom night. Seems like very very few ppl in my class are interested in it. Of course there were some who wanted to go very much, but we can't even form a complete table of 10 persons. So far the class gathered abt 4 ppl (including me but I was initially waiting for more ppl to sign up before I join) If the table is less than 10 ppl, we'll have to pay for the empty seats too, which is $80 per seat :S Dun think the scholars will go cos firstly it's too ex and secondly they will return home after the As. Sigh...nvr been to proms before. Back in 4C none of the class went except 2 IIRC. It feels really weird to wear so formally in front of our friends, and heard that some proms there were guys wearing a jacket/blazer too :S

I think my clarinet section is very smart! :) We got a Jeff who scored 4As in the block test, a Wenli who got 3As (including econs and history which i think is very difficult to score well), a Sheryl who got an A in bio clinching the 14th position of the cohort,..., and a little David who can conduct so well! (And yours truly :P)

Today is the full-dress rehearsal for Arts Festival (??? this event just sprang out of nowhere) Didn't expect so many seniors to come...most probably cos they were forced to. Waited for very^n (where n is large) long before the band got to play on stage. Anyway I wasn't really looking forward to it esp since someone casted freezing field in the audi and the band haven't rehearsed the syf pieces for a very long time. Expectedly, the band played horribly (lol at David's expression) and there were several missing parts and screwed up solos. Sigh...seems like we're going to have lots of band pracs soon for the next few days. Hmm...we dun even know who the audiences are and I wonder if playing with such standards can work. Btw I hate the full dress thingy...since our attires wun affect the performance at all, what's the point?

Was so sleepy in school today. Already dozing off at the 3rd period... Hopefully I wun have to stay back again for the rest of the week, but it seems quite impossible cos I've to help my section play for the band. Haiz...so tired.

Planned to run the 2.4km trial again this afternoon but it rained continuously. Sigh, there goes my chance to train for napfa for the last time. *Prays that nothing will screw up on that day*

Chem s ended even later today...7.50pm. Record broken I think. Anyway I'm glad that I made a wise choice of not doing the chem s qns at all, cos I can jot down the impt key points for every qn and understand just as well. Looking at those qns, it will take me a great deal of time to attempt them all.

Infuriating!

I think I'm having bad luck lately. A piece of CD mysteriously disappeared from my com desk, and is nowhere to be found in every corner of my house. 100% sure that I did not bring that CD out of my home, which means it must still be somewhere ard my house. But where??? Searched every nook and cranny but was futile. Now I can fully understand what it means by "bu yi er fei".

Just as I was giving up my search, I realised that my com cannot connect to the internet, but msn was still working...wtf...my luck can't go any worse than that. So I decided to continue my search ard the house again until my head started to ache. Nvm, shall give up for now...maybe I might stumble upon the CD XX months later while packing up.

Received Section B of Maths C and F Maths today. So now my overall results are AAAB. There seem to be some unseen forces preventing me from getting the perfect 4As, BT1 and BT2 alike...the 'B's are always soooo close, 2-3 marks from a 'A'. Nvm...blame my luck, AAAB is good enough...some ppl want also cannot.

Thanks a lot to Jialing and her sis for running with me! Becos I haven't run for a long time, I clocked a very poor timing. Both of them must be so disappointed with me...and I felt so paiseh too for not being able to catch up with them :( Anyway I shld be retaking napfa test this thurs, hope it will not drag any further like the past 2 months. Want to get it done and over with quickly so I dun have to worry abt reporting early (eg. like 1 week after A lvls) to NS for extra training (that will be so so so sad...).

I noticed that Maths S has been breaking the prev record of early dismissal for several weeks already. From 6.45pm, 6.30pm, 6.20pm,..., to today's 6.00pm! It was merely a 20 min session, with us starting late and ending extremely early. Ji slack!!! But come to think of it, everything we need is already in the given solution sheet. Only minor explanations needed. Plus the lecture exercise, it will not take more than 50 min. But since there was no lecture exercise today, ending that early is reasonable. ^_^ A big big contrast to chem s, which mostly ends so late, always after 7pm. IIRC the record was 7.45pm. (abt 2 hr session...sian). Even phy s is so slack now, haven't even started a single session after June hols...haiz...

Starting afresh

Haven't been updating my blog cos the com had some problems. Yea...the virus has taken effect after a few days. Threatening to autosend some files to the emails stored in my account everytime I log in. If I disallow it, I'll be disconnected from the net. >_< After many futile scans and attempts to eliminate the virus, I decided to reformat the com to save all the trouble. Now everything in my com is new, with many old files from the past 3-4 years deleted. Yay...a fresh start! With all the junkies gone, I can properly organise my files again. Shall be careful from now on not to get my com infected with virus...

Watched Initial D a few days ago on my com...thanks to Wenjia for burning the CD so I wun have to spend money watching by myself in the cinema. ^_^ Anyway I think with or without the theatre effects, I still can enjoy the movie as well. (But for movies like WotW, I rather watch it in a theatre...hehe) I think the racing scenes are good...but why does Jay keep winning every race??? So predictable! Pity Jay's gf at the end...will they reconcile after that? (shld be lah...the main male lead sure must have gf one)

My 3rd trip to a lanshop on Fri. (Encountered some problems along the way but nvm...not impt) Played dota with Chen Xi, Dawei and Wenjia on Bnet. Haha...we won every of the 3 games we created! Good teamwork mah...as well as noobs in the opposing team. Felt so proud of myself cos I didn't play so noobishly, didn't die a lot also, quite a few kills.

Watched the final match of JC dota competition after college day. Dun understand why so many Singaporeans and Malaysians still play the old imba 5.84c version. Then they use the same imba heros everytime. What's so fun abt using the same heros over and over again?
