It's snowing!

Wah...the weather is so cold nowadays that I believe it's going to snow in Singapore soon...haha. Then I'll go and build snowman, go iceskiing... Yesterday night I'm certain that the temperature had reached 20-22 degrees, the air con temp. liao. Btw did the temperature of Singapore ever reached below 20 degrees before?

Sigh...the tsunami death toll has already increased to 77000 liao. Heard the toll is expected to top 100000, which is such a shocking figure! This is quite possible, considering that contamination and diseases are rampant now, and probably ppl dying of starvation and homelessness will add to the toll too. Seen some forums where Americans are posting ignorant comments like "God is doing population control" or comparing this natural disaster to other events like Iraq war and 911 or saying America shld not send aid to countries which oppose American acts, etc. The worst I've heard was "Osama is behind this disaster"...lol...Osama so great meh, can hide undersea and move the tectonic plates...haha. Some ppl raised that since certain affected countries have planned not to celebrate New Year because of this tragedy, shld Singapore cancel the celebration too? It's not very nice to celebrate when our neighbouring countries are suffering from this unfortunate event. Anyway, it doesn't matter to me since I dun celebrate New Year.

Seen some videos of the first few waves of tsunami, tot I would share with you all:

http://home.pacific.net.sg/~honwai/tsunami128.wmv
These are only those harmless ones, where ppl still can get excited over them. If you want to see the more destructive ones, watch the news lor...seen a lot in yesterday's news.

Tot of making my family photo into a jigsaw puzzle, does anyone know any shops which provide this service?

So sad...

Recently there are a lot of reports abt the killer tsunami at Indian Ocean. Few days ago, I saw the death toll was 22000+, then according to today's newspaper, it escalated to 55000. That's so fast lor, imagine how many ppl die per hour! Didn't expected the tsunami to go so far up to Africa. Hmm...this is a very good case study for Geography. Btw this incident reminds me of a Harlem Yu's song some time ago (I think most of you shld know what song...). Shld dedicate this song to the tsunami victims...hehe...

Just started reading a comic titled "Death Note" (lol...why do I like to see ppl dying...) which tells abt a guy who got hold of a special notebook. One can be killed if the his/her name is written in the notebook with his/her face in mind of the writer. The interesting part of this story is how the guy uses the book and how he avoids being captured by the police. Great comic!

Brrr....why was it so cold yesterday night? Even when I covered myself with blanklet up to my neck, I can still feel the cold. This morning I woke up and the floor was so icy, dared not stand near the window if not skali I become Iceman...lol.

Slowly doing my homework...thinking that there are still so much time left. (I think I'll regret it on this coming Sunday...)

Sleepy Xmas

Practically slept thru Christmas. Was very tired when I returned home yesterday and went to sleep at abt 7pm. Woke up at 4am, and suddenly realised my brother was sleeping on his bed. Wondered how he appeared from nowhere cos didn't see him when I came back. There was nothing to do at that time, so I immediately went back to sleep...and slept till noon. Even that was not enough, took a few hours of afternoon nap again. Feeling like a lazy pig now, really dun feel like starting on my homework.

Sigh...how many charity shows are there this year already? Let's see...Ren Ci, NKF Show 1,2,3 , NKF Children's Fund 1,2,3 , President Star Charity, the Cancer show, Community Chest one, and now the Heart one. A few weeks later it's Ren Ci again. Getting sick of it already, totally no interest in calling the hotline any more, unlike years ago where I was very enthusiastic abt it and motivated to donate (even though it's not my money :P). In these shows, I only watch out for the stunts but nowadays the stunts they pull off dun really interest me, except for a few. I think I shldn't expect too much lar...after all there were stunts in charity shows for many years already. I think they have run out of good ideas.

I'm feeling sian already, dun think anyone will organise any more outings for the last week of holidays. Everyone will be rushing thru their homework, or just wait for the week to pass and school to reopen. Stopped playing GTA already, main story completed and no point in doing so many sidequests when I've no one to discuss or share with. The Net seems to be the best place to spend my time on, but it doesn't last long considering the limited number of websites I will visit. Maybe I shld buy some PC games, or read some comics like my bro suggested, or start on a book for my book reviews, or read up some academic stuff to prepare for the new school term or buy a set of jigsaw puzzle... Come to think of it, I've so many choices now and why am I still feeling bored?

Anyway today's Boxing Day right? *Wears a pair of gloves and box everyone on the face*

Merry Christmas!

An expected entry title for such a day like this. Can't think of anything better... Went to Zhe Han's house yesterday evening for a christmas gathering. He wasn't home when we came, and made us wait so long outside the condo gate. In the end we had to sneak thru the main gate, which was opened by a sensor whenever a resident motorist activated it. As for Jin Hin, who arrived later, someone else helped to open the small gate for him.

After ZH returned, he prepared spaghetti for dinner, which was quite delicious and filling too. Then he talked abt his yan4 yu4 in Taiwan, which I find it a bit...ah...no comments...hehe. Played mahjong and cards before Yong Feng had to go home while Jin Hin, Zhaoyang and me would be staying overnight at ZH's house. Continued to play cards and a bit of mahjong, then ZY complained that he had stomachache. Must be the tidbits that I bought...oops. Funny thing is, I ate much more than him but yet I had no stomachache or anything. Maybe ZY's stomache is weak...hehe.

At around 4am, we decided to stop playing and start fixing ZH's new jigsaw puzzle set with 1000 pieces. ZH talked abt some girls he met before dozing off. After a while, the 3 of us became tired and began to chat abt some stuff (until we fall asleep). But JH could not sleep and kept blabbering nonsensical stuff. ZY and I can't even get a good rest...

At daybreak 7am, JH finally stopped, he and ZY went to catch some sleep while I continued working on the puzzle. Dun feel like sleeping leh...my body was feeling so itchy as if there were mites in the mattress. The 3 of them woke up at around 11am+, where JH had to go for some M.A.D. thingy. Planned to complete the jigsaw by the time they woke up but it took even longer than expected. The last few pieces were so hard to assemble. Eventually with the help of ZH and ZY, we finished it at around 2pm. Yay...da gong gao cheng! Hmm...completed a 1000 pcs puzzle within such a short time...quite impressive! And ya...ZH cooked an omelette too (wah...he's sure good in cooking...) but I didn't eat much cos of my bloated stomache that I had caused the night before.

Reached home at 4+ and now typing my blog. Realised that I didn't yawn a single time when working on the puzzle in the morning, but yawned several times when I stepped out of ZH's house...

Before I go, I would like to wish Merry Christmas to my blog visitors! (that means.....noooooo...sch is reopening soon...)

Kungfu Hustle rox!

Previously I wrote Kung Fu rox in my msn nick, so someone tot I watched the movie beforehand when I actually mean the Xbox game I played in Corwin's house. This time the "Kungfu rox" in my nick is for real. Watched the movie today at West Mall with Shuk, Chen Xi, Youcheng and Mong, and I can't stress enough that the show really rocks! I enjoyed every moment of the movie, esp the fighting scenes which was so wow-ing. Of course Stephen Chow's movies always have some extremely lame parts, but I find them rather funny. IMO Kungfu Hustle is slightly better than Shaolin Soccer. I highly recommend this movie, a must-watch for all!

After the movie, 5 of us took a boringly long bus journey to a food court near Queenway SC. Chen Xi brought us there to eat Sichuan food or sth. After that Chen Xi was supposed to go for some harmonica carolling at Lido. As he was already late, Shuk and Mong rushed with him to take a bus to Orchard, and Youcheng took a cab to Millenia Walk, while I chose to go home.

Yesterday in Bishan a guy approached me for donations, he said it was the last day. But I rejected him cos I was in the rush and not enough money at that time. Then today, I saw the same guy again asking for donations at Bukit Batok! What a liar. Luckily I managed to evade him (I think he also dun dare to approach me liao), but suddenly another woman from the same organisation just came to me from the side. Haiz, I decided to donate after all (knowing how difficult it is to ask for donations). What to do, I've a generous face and those ppl soliciting donations love me...sigh. Pls, dun approach me liao...getting very broke already.

Tmr is Christmas Eve...going to ZH's house for celebration/party/countdown/whatever. Expecting a late night sleep again...

Class BBQ

Finally a class gathering for the holidays! Other classes had chalets and such except ours, no one took the initiative to organise any, until now. Have to thank Mong Seng for putting in the effort to organise a bbq as well as borrow his godma's place for the venue. This bbq also serves as a celebration of Mong Seng's and Youcheng's birthdays, which fall on 10th and 23rd of Dec respectively. Sadly this is just a small scale bbq, less than half the class came (partly becos the PRCs are not in SG).

I reached the condo at Sin Ming at around 6pm, then saw a bunch of kids running abt the playground. As I walked closer, I realised it was THEM: Kaizhi, Jieying, Shuk, Youcheng, Chen Xi and Rose. Lol. Mong Seng was preparing the bbq stuff. Then I joined in and played 'Iceman' (the run-and-freeze-ppl game...reminds me of my childhood). The playground so small, run a bit then got frozen liao... Haha, so childish of them to think of such games...

Then it's BBQ time! There were chicken, sausages, crab meat, marshmallows, etc... Didn't do much lah...just helped to apply butter on the chicken and wrap the corn with cheese. Ate a bit and was already full liao... Soon after, Rose left for tuition. Some went to buy alcohol while me and the rest played cards. Shuk drank a bottle and became red, then started to act strangely. Everyone said she was drunk but she claimed otherwise. Actually I dun think anyone will get drunk so easily...if you have the will of not to be drunk, then you won't be drunk. (your mind will still be clear)

Played a few rounds of asshole daidee before going up to the house to cut the birthday cake. Mong Seng received a shirt, while Youcheng got a koala bear plushie. Chen Xi went to Australia and bought many things for us...thanks for the kangaroo collar pin! Played 2 rounds of mahjong before it struck 11pm. Time to go home liao.

Happy Birthday to Youcheng and Mong Seng! Mong's present is that sleeveless shirt he's wearing.

A group photo...lalala...

lol...Is Mong trying to imitate the sleeping Buddha in Thailand?

Here comes the fun and exciting (at least for me) taxi ride home. Chen Xi, Shuk, Youcheng and I shared a cab. We discussed abt the movie outing tmr at West Mall (watching Stephen Chow's Kung Fu)...what a last minute decision! The first stop was Chinese High Boarding Sch, where Chen Xi was kicked out. The remaining 3 talked abt the planning of a CNY dinner with the PRCs next year. Second stop was Bukit Batok Central, where Shuk was eliminated. Leaving only Youcheng and I, he shared a secret with me (abt his Koala bear present) and then talked abt his family, and I got to know him a bit better. At Bukit Panjang Plaza, Youcheng was booted out and finally... I AM THE SOLE SURVIVOR!!! Hehe...dotz...

Yo...this is my new blog! Well not exactly new, I already have it since March this year. I posted two entries at that time abt STJ and I guess yf is the only person who has seen them. Didn't publicise the blog eventually cos firstly I want to continue with my present one (the one with tables and myriad of colours), and secondly I feel that I put little effort into customising the template and it looks real plain and ugly. Hope you all will like this one...green, my fav colour.

Recently I visited several blogs and I realised that mine was the oddest among all, showing a work by someone who obviously dunno how to make webpages. Some ppl think my blog is too colourful and unsightly. Since I know nuts abt html skills, by right I shld have used blog providers like blogspot and ebloggy which have templates/designs all ready for me, instead of revealing my poor knowledge of web design by using Frontpage. Even ppl using Frontpage can create much better sites than mine. Maybe those who first entered my blog will go, "WTH...Is this a website created by a 5-year old?"

I'm thinking if I shld begin a 'proper' blog and stop embarrassing myself with the hideous site of mine. Pls give me your comments abt this. If majority thinks I shld change, then I shall abandon the geocities one and start a fresh new blog here.
