No time to blog, so let's play a game to keep my readers 'busy'.
Guess where is this place!
For those who are 100% confident that they know where this place is, please don't reveal the answer haha. Guessing means you're not sure of the answer, right?

Guess the Rabbit!
So busy that I don't even have time to post a simple entry...sigh. Report deadlines, mid terms, presentations all squeezed within this single week. Eagerly looking forward to the recess break. Then comes another round of 'busi-ness'.
Wanted to rant about school work but decided not to. It's no fun reading such stuff. Let's try something more fun - a game!
---
Got the idea from I-Weekly. Since it's the rabbit year, let's look at some famous fictional rabbits. Have you seen these rabbits before? Do you know their names? If not, do you know where they come from?
Ok, let's start with an easy one - Bugs Bunny from Looney Tunes. (Oops, I've revealed his name already!)

A) That was no-kick. How about this one?

B) I think this rabbit's character is similar to mine haha...

C) Here comes a cuter one. =)

D) Now for a classic, old-school illustration:

E) Thin eyes, Fat body (and head), what a lazy look...

F) *I can't talk! My lips are sealed!*

G) "My long ears won't prevent me from wearing a headdress."

H) "I won't die no matter how you torture me..."

I) That face just makes people want to whack it.

J) You might see them pretty often in MSN as emoticons.

K) "I'll keep going! Never give up!"

L) If you can't get this right, I dunno what else to say.

M) Doesn't look very distinctive but anyway just look at the posture.

Highlight to see the answers:
A) Lola Bunny from Looney Tunes. Bugs Bunny's girlfriend. First appearance in 'Space Jam' film.
B) Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh (what an uncreative name...)
C) Thumper from Bambi (try to find the adult version of Thumper!)
D) Peter Rabbit, character from various children books.
E) Mashimaro from Korea. Often appears as merchandise (like Hello Kitty)
F) Miffy from various children picture books.
G) My Melody by Sanrio, same company that created Hello Kitty.
H) Cuddles from Happy Tree Friends. (recall his visit to the dentist...)
I) Rabbid from Rayman Raving Rabbids. (the most hateful rabbit ever)
J) Tuzki from China. (can't help thinking about all those funny emoticons)
K) Duracell Bunny (there is also a Energizer Bunny, beating the drum)
L) White Rabbit Milk Sweet. (they have other flavors too!)
M) 'Hare' from The Tortoise and the Hare, an Aesop fable.
So, how many did you get correct?

Game!!
Hey it has been a long time since I posted any game in my blog, so I've decided to revive it a little.
Do you still remember this question that I gave more than 2 years ago? (time really flies...)
怪我
A) Failure
B) Injury
C) Scandal
D) Quarrel
Basically you're supposed to guess (or rather deduce intelligently) what the Chinese characters mean in Japanese.
The same characters can have very different meanings in Chinese and Japanese, to the extent that they may sound absurd and funny haha.
Ready to challenge your linguistic skills?
*The literal meanings in Chinese are indicated in parenthesis, which are obviously not the answers.
大変 ("big change")
a) Difficult
b) Shocking
c) Strange
d) Depressing
大家 ("everyone")
a) Landlord
b) Mayor
c) Estate Agent
d) Parliament Member
物語 ("thing language"?!)
a) Story
b) Secret
c) Talk
d) Feelings
面白 ("face white")
a) Funny
b) Scary
c) Boring
d) Weird
毛布 ("fur cloth")
a) Blanket
b) Carpet
c) Floor Mat
d) Scarf
Tag your answers! Haha.

Game!
Japanese is an interesting language. Though it uses similar writing characters as Chinese, the meaning of certain words can be completely different. Some seem so far-fetched that I can't imagine how that meaning developed about.
So now we shall play a 'Guess the Meaning' Game! Try to guess/deduce by whatever means the Japanese meaning of these Chinese characters (kanji)!
Example:
勉強
A) Exercise
B) Study
C) Work
D) Play
In this case the answer is B. Got it correct? Now we know how Japanese view studying haha.
Now let's get to the real thing! *Don't worry, only 5 questions*
Please don't search the net or use any dictionary otherwise it will spoil the fun.
我慢
A) Boredom
B) Ignorance
C) Endurance
D) Shyness
風船
A) Parachute
B) Kite
C) Frisbee
D) Balloon
八百屋
A) Provision shop
B) Grocery shop
C) Bookstore
D) Supermarket
海老
A) Prawn
B) Crab
C) Jellyfish
D) Oyster
*The last one is funny*
怪我
A) Failure
B) Injury
C) Scandal
D) Quarrel
Yup that's it! The answers will be revealed at the end of this entry.

Can't believe I haven't gone for an outing for the past 7 days. The first time since ORD I stayed home for such a long time. Partly becos my friends have gone overseas during this period.
My heart is filled with envy and sadness whenever I hear my friends going for overseas trips. Hong Kong, China, Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan, etc. Everyone seems to be making use of this period to go for trips before uni starts. When can we be more free than now?
Haven't travelled on a plane for almost 10 years and I yearn for that day to come again. The feeling of checking in at the airport, crossing the gates and waiting to board the plane is so great! However after the increased security I dun think the experience is that enjoyable as before.
Since a long time ago, my family has stopped planning trips, partly due to consideration of my sis. My parents are workaholics and I dun think they can set aside time to go overseas. And my bro doesn't seem to be interested in visiting any countries...
I believe there are much more to see beyond this tiny island. Until I can get a chance to do so, I guess I would just have to look at others' photos at most.

Finally F.I.R is holding its first ever concert in Singapore in August! Anyone interested to go with me? =)

Guess the song!
Was very bored so decided to host a game abt songs. (only mandarin pop songs haha, since I only listen to them)
Listen to the few clips below and guess the song! Your guess must include song title and the singer. Enjoy!
(An easy start!)
http://www.geocities.com/littleservbot101/song1.mp3
(Another easy one!)
http://www.geocities.com/littleservbot101/song2.mp3
(slightly harder this time, but easy if you can identify the voice)
http://www.geocities.com/littleservbot101/song3.mp3
(this is quite hard imo, easy for those who listen to her songs)
http://www.geocities.com/littleservbot101/song4.mp3
(i think this is the hardest...)
http://www.geocities.com/littleservbot101/song5.mp3
Thank you for your participation! Post your answers in my tagboard!

Answer
Thank you those who have participated in this game! I think this game is created such that nobody could get all correct, except myself hehe. Glad that everyone got at least 1 correct, so part of me is actually being understood =). Relf got the top score (as I expected =p), almost all correct for his 2nd try except for a silly point which I think should not be included cos it's so tricky that no one would have guessed it. Anyway the answer is 3,4,13,16,19 and here are the explanations:
1) I have 2 computers in my room.
(Dun be shocked haha, I really have 2 coms in my room. One is my main while another is for games or visitors who wish to use the com as well =P)
2) I passed my 2 driving theory tests in the first try.
(But I failed my TP test on the first try sobz...)
3) I played the clarinet for 8 years.
(I regret setting this point lol. Nobody would have guessed that the figure was the wrong thing. 4 years of sec sch, 2 years of jc, altogether 6 years. Not as long as 8 years...>_> What a lousy point.)
4) I enjoy reading books.
(I rather watch than read...I cant conquer pages of tiny words)
5) My favourite genre of games is RPG (Role Playing Game).
(True dat)
6) I rarely play PC games.
(I have 2 coms but i rarely use them to play pc games cos my com specs is not that good. My 2nd com is used for playing console games eg PS2, Xbox, not for pc games.)
7) I dun really like Jay Chou's songs.
(Why ah?)
8) I suffer from very high myopia.
(This is what landed me into pes C)
9) I was once the top PSLE student of my primary school.
(Yes it's true! I'm really that qiang!*arrogance* But my aggregate is damn low compared to top students of other schs.)
10) I am colour-blind.
(I hate titration!!!)
11) I can't play a piano.
(Those who have musical background should know what the black and white keys mean, and which key is C, D, E and so on. Need not be a piano player to know that. Pressing random keys is not considered as playing a piano...)
12) I watch Channel 8 often.
(I thought the previous entry on Star Awards is already a big giveaway.)
13) I started learning Japanese this year.
(For your info I took 3rd language Japanese in Sec 1 but quitted 9 months later, so by right I started learning 6 years ago and then resumed this year. My very-basic foundation is there already.)
14) I dun listen to English songs.
(English songs enter from one ear and exit the other, except those in my primary school song book lol)
15) I have 2 siblings.
(Used to have 1 only)
16) I am planning to study Mathematics in NUS.
(I need not explain this one.)
17) I have never ridden on the tank that I specialise in.
(Yes it's true. I've never ridden on M113 and SM1 before. Not even travelled a metre with it. Firstly I dun have a license, secondly it's too stuffy and noisy.)
18) I have tried smoking before.
(I'm not as guai as you guys think. I even tried twice, once during BMT and another not long ago. Seeing so many of my friends smoke I'm really curious to know what makes smoking so addictive.)
19) I am a Teochew but I understand more hokkien than teochew.
(My grandparents are from the province of Fujian in Xiamen, so what do you think?)
20) I made a few friends through the internet and met up with them.
(I look forward to meeting them again, but they are busy ppl haiz)
