Many ppl were shocked by my new haircut today. I realised it's no big deal actually cos a lot of ppl around me also cut their hair during the weekend. Many said my new haircut is better than the previous one...which I think so too. Short hair easier to manage mah, dun need to keep tidying my hair every now and then. The left wing bench area is always very windy...very irritating if my hair keeps flying around. Some ppl tell me to spike, but I dun think it fits my personality lah...just a natural hairstyle will do, I'm a plain person.
Today is the release of o lvl results...J1 seems excited today. Heard many from my junior class scored 7-8 pts, a few 6s, some 9 and one 12 (which is very bad i think). I guess most of them shld be able to stay in hc. Some might change sub combi some might change jc...not sure yet. I just hope that the junior class wun split up. These shld be the last o lvl results for those through-train schs...saw from the news that RI and RGS produced majority of the top scholars. While heard that there are no 11A1s in Chinese High at all...so sad, probably cos few took 3rd language. Chinese high didn't do quite well this year (last year's batch was better)...sigh, and there will be no more next year liao. A bit worried for some J1s whom I want them to stay but didn't score very well...
Hmm...when is the A lvl results going to be released???

AJC
Went to AJC for band prac today without the consent of the band teacher-in-charge Mr So becos he refuses to let us have sat practices. This prac was rather sneaky...can't even book a bus to ferry us there, at most can call in a lorry to transport the instruments/files/stands. We sat at the back of the sheltered lorry, then it started to rain and rainwater began to splash into the lorry...most of us got wet...(the girls were excited at first but then became frightened...haha)
However this prac was very unproductive and inefficient. We only had 1 hour+ of sectionals (in fact it was just individuals), shorter than the time taken to travel back and forth AJC. The rest of the time was spent in the exchange programme with AJC band (which was not our plan)...this was just to provide a valid enough reason for us to enter another college on a saturday. But we played rather badly in front of the AJC band cos we weren't really prepared. So diu lian! Bad thing is, the principal of AJC weren't very happy abt us coming into the college out of sudden, and the teacher-in-charge of AJC band didn't know abt the 'exchange programme' when asked by the principal. In other words, this prac was a bad decision since we created more trouble and didn't really benefit from the measly few hours of prac there. Furthermore we plan to lie to Mr So abt going to AJC, cos he seems to know that we brought our instruments out of sch this morning. What a chaotic situation...a bad plan indeed.
Met up with Bingye, Wu Rong and Yingying and went together to visit Chen Xi at NUH. Saw Youcheng, Jialing and Thazin on the way in. And Mrs Lee too! (who gave Chen Xi $20) Heard Mr Ang also visited him...wah! Jieying, Shuk and Chen Xi's gf were already there when we entered the room. Chen Xi looked quite fine, and he claimed that he's more energetic than us. Other than that 'dian3 di1' (the bag of fluid thingy) attached to his body, he looked rather normal. We talked abt what exactly happened after he finished the run and became semi-conscious, and Chen Xi also shared his experiences during the period when he was sent to hospital.
Then went to cut my hair...my neighbour mistook me for my brother...

Cross Country
First time combined cross country with Chinese High at Turf City. Very excited cos nvr been inside Turf City before. Quite deserted leh...cos not very accessible. The shopping centre also not many ppl, saw many shops close down liao. The main shops left are the big departmental store and Giant supermarket. (reminds me of the Ten Mile Junction SC near my home).
Went there in the afternoon (when it was so hot) and started to run only at 4pm. Before that was the competitors running first. The path is rather weird, firstly we ran behind the trees surrounding the field, then emerged out to the very open field (can be seen easily from the grand stand) where there are several loops. (like those dirtbike race tracks) I feel like a racing horse...
Kaizhi, Saykai and I planned to run together but somehow in between Kaizhi ran first, followed by Saykai then me gasping for breath at the back (no stamina mah...>_<). The initial pathway was sooooo crowded, have to overtake a lot, wasting my energy. Fortunately overtaking is easier in Turf City than in MacRitchie cos the sides are just grass instead of trees or muds. Very very proud with myself for not stopping(walking) throughout the whole run. Things which motivated me to run was: 1) Surrounded by so many chinese high ppl. Somemore I was easily recognised as a J2 since I was one of the few ppl wearing the old hc pe shirt. Felt obliged to run faster than them otherwise will diu lian. Can be seen from the grandstand too so better not slack. 2) Overtaking girls (esp my bandmates). Met certain bandmates during the run...called their names then overtook them. Very mean right? 3) For blogging/haolian purpose. During the run I kept thinking, "If I dun stop then I can include my achievements in my blog or tell others abt that." Hehe.
After the run, walked lethargically back to the grandstand then followed Saykai to Giant but we weren't allowed to enter the shopping centre...so walked back again. Finally it was prize presentation ceremony. Jialing came in 13th in the A Girls...WOW!!!...Congrats to her! Still able to run so fast despite knee injury...pei fu. For boys the fastest in my class was Chen Xi. But apparently he pia-ed too hard and fainted after finishing =S Now he's warded in hospital...may go visit him... Mrs Yap won the 3rd place in the staff race in younger teachers category...yay.
Leg aching now...arm aching also (but not due to cross country). Tmr still need to go AJC for band prac...haiz.

Sian Day
Tues will be my sian day cos...ya, it's so sian, esp with GP and phy prac at the next half of the day. GP is abt writing a letter to Bush commenting his actions...as if I care...I would rather write "Bush, you look like monkey...lololololol" Then phy prac is another slacking session, played 'Connect' with Wenjia. Sigh...I wish I can lodge a complaint against that Mr Alright, but see him old and senile liao so gei ta yi dian mian zi.
Rumoured that O lvl results will be released this coming Friday, when cross country will also be held. Not very possible for both to fall on the same day cos we are holding a combined cross country with chinese high. So either the results are released next week or cross country has to be postponed. I think it's the former...due to some observations...
Saw the notice board for the class blog competition. As far as I know, only I have a blog in my class >_<. Oh fine...my class is not a blogger class, no wonder I dun feel so close to my classmates...haiz.

Dramafest
Went with my section to watch dramafest yesterday. It's pretty good, not like those slipshod skits we see in campfires. I wonder if they planned the order of plays from the worst one first to the best one last. (cos it's quite obvious that the plays get better and better as the programme proceeds) Sad to say, my fac Artemis' play was placed first...the settings and story were not very outstanding compared to others. The best play was by Apollo and lasted for very longggg (abt 45 min I think) but was very interesting. It's so creative of them to think of such ideas! Apollo's play also bagged the best supporting actor/actress, best actor/actress, best director and best overall play...6 awards IIRC (out of 8). Haha...the da ying jia for the night. I'm surrounded by apollos too esp from band. I know of a lot of apollos than any other facs. To me, Apollo seems so outstanding/prominent...
After the 4 plays there was a special item by some fruits & vegetable band who sang fruits and vegetable song. It's funny at first, but gets very boring after a while, and then becomes annoying. (Seriously I dun quite like their songs) Maybe partly becos my butt was super sore after sitting on the steps for few hours.
Sigh...slept for very very long today (including an afternoon nap even after waking up past noon =S). Maybe cos too little sleep for the past 1 week, and forced myself awake to abt 2am yesterday after a long tiring day. Slept too much, cannot finish my homework liao >_<.

2.4km trial
Finally today is the 2.4km trial run. The weather is very hot lately so running under the hot sun at ard 10am really drains energy. Did well for the first 3 rounds (under 2 min per round) but subsequently slowed down and completed in 12.30+, just missed the passing mark 12.30 by a few seconds. Sigh, if I had run a little faster in the last round I would have passed. But the good thing is, this is the first time I ran under 13 mins! What an improvement! Hopefully in the next run I will be more energetic, then can successfully conquer 2.4!
Unfortunately I din meet the mark in SBJ so have to go for extra training on tues or thurs. Sian. My sit-ups are very weak, and my shutter run isn't very good either. Seems like I still have lots of work to do...haha.
Did our first QA experiment today after a year in hc. Haha...I miss QA. Today's expt was abt organic compounds, sth that we've never did in sec sch (always identifying cations and anions...). Handling organic compounds is so ma fan and they look so oily to me. Made my first ester also...supposed to be sweet smelling but mine smells so sour, like sweat liddat!
Looking forward to the weekend cos I want to finish as much tutorials as possible and keep myself free to read comics on weekdays! The current comic I'm reading now has a bread-making theme. Gained a lot of knowledge abt bread and some science. (who says comics aren't educational?)
Going for dramafeste tmr. Nvr been to last year's one before, so dunno how is it like.

Total Defence Day + Ren Ri
Just realised that Total Defence Day is right after Valentine's Day. Coincidentally, today is also Ren Ri (so Happy Bday to everyone...haha). Some ppl still giving presents today (cos forgot to prepare yesterday)...so I'm not the odd one out...hehe. Hope my angel and mortal like my present.
I'm feeling so sian already, 5 days of CNY holiday just pass liddat, nth to look forward to anymore. Still have to worry abt the huge pile of work waiting for me to complete. Heard band pracs have increased from 3 per week to 4 per week! Plus S Paper, plus napfa project thingy...ARGHHH!!! Spending so much time in sch is really so sian lorz...esp when I've better things to do at home. I feel like a dead person now, with totally no life.
I wonder if I were to be in a neighbourhood sch, would I be as 'happy' as now? Somehow there is a mysterious voice telling me that if I work hard now, I can enjoy later. But that isn't really true...look at our paths of life: nursery -> kindergarten -> pri sch -> sec sch -> jc -> uni -> work + family. You'll realise that as life proceeds, you will become busier and busier, more work and lesser time for enjoyment. So I hereby disprove the statement above. But I dun mean that we can slack all the time. Just do the minimum work to sustain our desired pathway in life and save the rest for enjoyment. If you treat work as an enjoyment, then I've nth to say lah...haha.
Sianz.

STJ/Valentine's Day
Wow, it's so rare for me to put two separate events in the same title (most of the time I can't think of any proper title). Shall talk abt yesterday's STJ first...
STJ is held at NYDC in Suntec. Heard from Youcheng that the food is ex and not very nice. (then why go there?) I ordered spaggetti, but I'd actually prefer pasta. Was feeling bored cos there's no one to talk with, so I looked around and saw the junior class so united/playing among themselves...started to feel envy of them (hopefully during JTS there will be more seniors). The total amount spent was so much lor, service charge alone already cost $50 liao >_<...$$$$$
After that we went to k at Party World in Orchard (the basement where Popular once stood). Chose a package where we could sing up to 12 midnight (but must leave earlier cos next day still got sch). Hehe...this time I came more prepared, having heard most of the current chinese pop songs, so there's more variety of songs for me to choose instead of only the oldies that I used to pick before. By 10.10pm all the juniors left liao (bu gao er bie...=( ) leaving me and Youcheng in another room. In order not to waste the package, we decided to stay till 12 mid (=S aiyoh...as if next day no need go sch liddat) and eat all the tidbit provided (I'm getting so unhealthy). Both of us just sang and sang and sang lor, until abt 11.40pm we decided to leave. (cos we are Cinderellas) The bill was $120, and the rest of the juniors only paid enough for half a bill. So poor Youcheng have to fork out $50 out of his own pocket to foot the bill...$$$$$
Took a cab home with Youcheng lor. Then tried to rush thru my mortal's reply but cannot finish. Din even prepare anything for next day...
Valentine's Day/Friendship Day: The day where everyone exchange gifts with friends/lovers/angel&mortals. The class benches were so filled with activity in the morning...saw balloons and presents all over the place like party liddat. Both my angel and mortal gave me sth, but I dun have anything for them! *cries...
Felt very remorseful so went shopping after sch, spent quite a sum...$$$$$
Broke liao...heh.

Chinese New Year
Time really flies, 2 days of CNY are almost over...feel very sad for those who have to go back to sch tmr, and my bro who still have to go for NS duty. Didn't really do much for these past 2 days, most of the time were spent on gambling blackjack (we call it 'Ban Luck') with my relatives. Yesterday I lost abt $8+ cos my cards really sucked. Been a 'zhuang' for only once and I've to pay everybody double becos of a failed 'wu long'. Grrr... Today's luck was a bit better, I won quite a lot until my father joined in the game to be the 'zhuang', where I started to lose and lose and overall I still lose. (my father din even take out any money from his wallet at all and still can win $40+...pffft) Actually now I'm supposed to visit a relative's house for a CNY party but I dun feel like going. (too lazy liao) Missed the opportunity to collect abt 4-5 hongbaos (abt $20)...what a pity!
I'm so messed up with my hongbaos now...mine and my bro's are mixed together, I dun know which one belongs to who >_<. My total amount collected shld be at least $200...cos my parents gave me $100 each =D
I feel that I'm getting fat already...ate too much cookies/chocolates/sweets liao...can't resist the temptation...

Chu Xi
Tot I would be very sian in sch today, but it turned out to be more eventful that expected. There was combined assembly in the morning, which did not go very smoothly. Firstly when the student shouted the command, the jc students were still sitting down. (cos there was absolutely no teachers keeping watch the college section side...all of them were busy interacting with each other...) Secondly the national anthem was way too fast >_<. Thirdly the college section side burst into laughter during the pledge. (I dunno if it is becos the pledge/national anthem is too fast or the pledge was read in chinese, which was unfamiliar to some ppl) Standing at the field is so fun...can get to witness everything. From the overall view those incidents really reflect quite badly on the college section, but fortunately only the band has the privilege to yi lan wu yi, most students and even teachers were unaware of it.
After assembly was the cny performances...a bit sian, din bother to watch. My classmates were starting to disappear too (going back to sec sch/going out with cca friends/going home). Gathered those equally sian ppl from my junior class to play cards at a secluded area, then realised quite a lot of my juniors actually play videogames like ps2. (hopefully got sth more to talk abt next time)
It was the street market time...went to visit the junior class' stall, they were selling some cny cookies/pastries, which I think was overpriced, as well as tang yuan, which wasn't ready yet. Walked around the stalls and bought some stuff like prata, ice-cream, coconut milk (that @#$% Wenli =S)... Got the feeling I was being qiao zha-ed.
Met Jin Hin, we walked ard a little then went back to chinese high to see some teachers, along with Kang Hao and Daniel. By that time most teachers already left. (Realised Miss Ng was acting a bit strangely by speaking Chinese to us.) Called Tanyk to wish him happy cny...seems like the only person he remembers is Jin Hin...cos it was his phone mah. Then called Miss Pek and met up with her at the ispark room...talked abt her future happiness. (must get married soon lah...getting old already >_<)
Went back to hc and the mass dance session was just over...din get to eat the junior class' tang yuan >_<...so ashamed of myself for not supporting my them...so sry!
2h 30min left to nian chu yi...zhu da jia ji ling neng gan, ji bu ke shi, ji zhi guo ren, dang ji li duan, ji ji ji ji! (getting desperate to come up with ji-related phrases)

Eve of chu xi
It is only the eve of chu xi and everybody is in the new year mood liao, as if they can't wait to go home to eat reunion dinner liddat. After maths lect Mr Yap played a game with us where we have to search for 13 hongbaos hidden anywhere in the LT (I love this kind of games!). But it seemed like only S31 is enthu abt it and me getting out of my seat to search would be very extra. Thanks to Shuk, who found a hongbao underneath her seat by luck, S34 is able to get the top 2 prizes...a giant milk bottle of marshmallows! Yay!^_^ ...ate a lot a lot of them...hehe. So far the only teachers who gave us new year goodies are Mrs Yap and Mr Yap (or shld I say the whole maths dept?) You see? Maths teachers are such nice ppl! Teachers from other dept shld learn from them.
The last period was GP essay, everybody hoped that Mrs Bad would suddenly cancel the assignment, and regretted not doing it last fri instead. I hate writing abt politics!
I want to praise the maths teachers again...the maths s lect was cancelled today! Everyone was so excited abt it. I think the reason has got sth to do with cny. (maybe cos the councillors are busy setting up the props?) But wu lun ru he, I thank the maths dept for being so understanding...if it were to be other subjects like chem/phy s, I think the teachers would heck care and continue with the lecture as per normal.
Got maths s or not it's the same to me lah, cos I've to stay back for sectionals anyway. Tot of giving out some goodies to my sectionmates but changed my mind at the last minute...so sry.
Realised that I've nth to look forward tmr. Besides the performances in the plaza, the J1s are going to tend their stalls in the street market. Some J2s are going to pon and gather with their class/sec sch classmates. I think I'll be stoning all the way...sobz...why am I always so lonely during this kind of occasions????

Band Orientation
Orientation for J1 band members today. Gathered in the sch first...played cards while the J1s were playing icebreaker games...hehe. Then the band was divided into grps for the main event of the day - shi2 zi4 lu4 kou3. First stop is nian gao, so we went to chinatown to buy the unsteamed raw nian gao...eeks so sticky! Next is some hi-calcium fresh milk...we bought it from Macdonalds (1.60 for just a little packet...feels cheated). Then went to Little India hawker centre to drink iced nai cha, and play lame games at the same. (I'm starting to like lame games liao ^_^) Travelled back to PS to buy a char siew bread from breadtalk (quite ex also). Made our way to taka for a task where we were supposed to search for 5 food items within the food stalls. Then finally went to the last stop - Esplanade roof garden. I dun think my grp was the last to reach there... Really enjoyed the scenic view from the garden!
A series of events happened after that...too lazy to talk abt them... :P
Aiyah...next mon so sian, need to write essay, go for sectionals/s-paper...I want tues to come quickly!!! Mei tiao da jie xiao xiang, mei ge ren de zui li, jian mian di yi ju hua, jiu shi gong xi gong xi. Gong xi gong xi gong xi ni ya, gong xi gong xi gong xi ni... (trying to create the cny mood...)

Haiz
Running for PE again, but it's the last time liao. The week after next will be 2.4km trial (eeks >_<) and the week after games will start. (we are allowed to choose our desired sports/games to participate in, like Chinese High) I think my timing deteriorate liao...can't believe I ran slower than last week depsite not stopping at all. I realised for a few minutes after I reached the finishing point, nobody else behind me reached there at all! (which means I'm one of the last persons to complete the run -_-) Actually I'm not slow, it's just that many ppl (yes, from my observations when overtaking ppl) only ran 2 rounds instead of 3! Cheaterbugs... Have to praise Wenjia for running the full 3 rounds despite being slow. And ya, have to stay back every tues afternoon to train for SBJ, sianzz...
Rudy Lee ah...he was rushing like mad today. I can't get anything into my head cos I was always lagging behind him. Then it was lecture summary test!...On the concepts that he just covered!...Must complete within 5 minutes! Siao! Luckily I was able to grasp the gist of the concepts and tried my best to answer the qns (it's not counted anyway...).
Chem prac...using the data logger to sketch a pH graph...so fun! ^_^ Then a double indicator titration...quite interesting also, esp the colour change...
Like last week's chem s, rudy lee can't finish going thru all the qns...can't he just print out the answers for us and only focus on the more important qns? Then it will be faster right?
I think my mortal knows who I am liao, cos I accidentally took the letter out of the box in the presence of her...>_<

Bad
I'm starting to get extremely displeased with Mrs Bad. Today out of the blue, she told us to take out our Issues and Ideas to discuss, which is our holiday homework. (wow...one month late) Some were told off by her becos they didn't bring the handout (which hasn't been touched for one month...it's so natural that we will not continue to bring it to sch everyday lor). She also mentioned that we've so many things that haven't been discussed, but yet she insisted on wasting time by asking us to read the passage one by one, aloud. The reading time altogether took abt 3/4 of the period and we only managed to discuss two qns in the remaining 1/4. That's so inefficient! (Talking abt this, I think Mr Rudy Lee utilises his lecture time very fully, but he can be very boring.) While others were reading, Chen Xi and I were writing notes to each other, bad-"writing" her teaching methods and saying how she sucks, etc. Unfortunately, both of us were caught by her :S But luckily she didn't check what was written on the paper, otherwise we'll be dead meat...haha. Then she caught Mong meddling with his N-Gage and confiscated it...for 2 weeks... Before the end of the lesson, she scolded Mong for being defiant (meddling with his other stuff despite the n-gage being confiscated), and reprimanded Chen Xi and I for being unattentive in class/doing our own stuff. But does she ever think why we are doing this during her lesson? I think she shld reflect upon her own teaching methods lor. (Btw my class is not the only class to dislike her...apparently S66 does too...right Zhe Han?)
Ok...enough of Mrs Bad. Today is the start of February, no particular expections for this month except CNY, which is next week! Yay!
