Was a bit impolite to Mr Wong today when he claimed I did not hand in the prac worksheet. But I was so sure and certain that I did hand it in and acted quite defiantly to his qns. Only after his lesson, I realised that the prac wk is actually still with me >_< What a folly... Felt a little bad for being so defensive even when I'm in the wrong. I think I'm a bit stubborn lately...trying to act as if everything I do is right. Maybe I shld tone down a bit and try to keep calm and observant abt my surroundings, otherwise I'll look stupid.
I seriously dunno what Mrs Bad is doing lor...she keeps giving us assignments and homework but doesn't collect or go thru them at all. One example is the 2 AQs for TIME which I took great pains, effort and time to complete during the long weekend. And now she has forgotten all abt it. Another example is the Time Tunnel presentation, which I spent a night to search for information and materials to prepare. Now what? She just abandoned the rest of the presentation after only 1 out of 8 sections was presented. And where are our Issues and Ideas, From Fact to Fiction, compo and compre??? All in the shredder already right? I dun see the point of doing so much work when the teacher doesn't acknowledge them.
No need to stay back today, cos others are having phy s. Yay! (the phy s qns are so damn difficult...)

chem chem chem
Whenever it comes to thurs, my mind would be so saturated with chem. Anyway, ran for PE today, 3 rounds again, but I ran faster than last week and Wenjia too (yay we're improving!). Got a mixed feeling when I heard PE for the next few weeks (many in fact) will be still running. Good thing is, I can train up for napfa. Bad thing is I'll be so tired every thurs. As you can see, the benefit outweighs the harm...haha, why am I stating the obvious...
Chem SPA today...many used acid-base titration which is wrong I think cos it will produce a ppt when titrating. Luckily I remembered what Mr Lee mentioned ^_^ However I'm very angry with my forgetfulness, like calculating the amount of acid to acidify MnO4 but forgetting to include it in the procedure. Justified the wrong parameter also, and ended up wasting a lot of time. Grrr... How come I never fail to screw up each and every SPA up till now?
Then it was 1 hour+ of chem tutorial, going thru the boring ionic eqm topic. How come phy chem is so boring, like phy... Fortunately Mrs Lee ended the lesson 20 min earlier otherwise we would all fall dead.
So lonely, was the only one to stay back for chem s. Went to the library and half-sleep, then did some lecture examples on ionic eqm. Hate it when I get answers like the pH of an acidic buffer is 10.8, and dunno where I went wrong.
Then finally after 2 hours of waiting, it was chem s. Was lonely again cos I sat alone in the LT. Good thing is I can concentrate on listening to the lecture and understand quickly. Bad thing is I'm lonely. Which outweighs which? I also dunno.
Life is starting to get boring now. Having to stay back almost everyday is so sian. Can't even find time for leisure (and my poor jigsaw puzzle >_<). I'm not stressed by the heavy homework load, just that it's getting really boring doing homework everyday.

Maths S
Physics lecture today was abt a talk by a guest speaker titled 'Why is physics interesting'. (duh...this talk is more for the J1s...) The content of the talk is mainly abt the tsunami, which we've heard a lot from the news (no more pls, very saturated liao), and the derivation of some wave eqn. Eh...using a disaster to illustrate physics concepts... Majority of the students weren't listening and in the end we were scolded, and made to keep quiet and do nothing for a few minutes. (a min of silence to mourn the tsunami victims...) We were told to reflect upon our behaviour but I think the speaker shld reflect instead...and ask himself why couldn't he capture the audiences' attention effectively.
Mrs BADdiley was so unreasonable today, beginning to dislke her already...she's so BAD!
Had the first maths s lecture today, the qns are quite difficult and I was already stumped by the very first qn in the tutorial. (that qn is so dotz anyway) Upon seeing the workings, I think it's not that hard after all, just that it requires more thinking. Maths S oh Maths S...kenapa...drat...why am I thinking of this song... Shall be more enthu in doing s paper tutorial next time.
Chatted with Mr Koh on the way home...he's so student-like lor, nobody would guess that he's a teacher in a JC.

Second Junior-Senior Outing
Met up with Youcheng in the afternoon first before going to East Coast Park to meet with the rest of the ppl. They were cycling in the morning but I can't cycle >.< ECP is so big that both of us got lost while searching for them. Ended up walking for abt 1 hour+ before finding the rest at the food centre. Jialing was angry that the class left Da En behind when he dun really know how to cycle. After lunch we went to somewhere shady and started to play lame games like 9-squares, 'What time?', the position game, woosh game, sheep game, face game, etc.
Then the rest went to return their bikes while me, who came without a bike, had to walk abt 4 km all the way back to the bike rental shop. We settled down at a bench, some went down to the beach to play water while some played cards. Finally it was dinner time...went to a small restaurant to eat (and play cards). Took a lift home from Kenneth in his parents' car...many thanks to Kenneth!

So much homework!
Tot I could relax during this long weekend and continue my jigsaw puzzle (still abt 70% complete). It's gathering a lot of dust under my bed now, skali the next time I take it out I'll see a dead cockroach or sth :S Haiz...didn't expect there will be so much homework lor. Vector spaces, polar coordinates, phy of fluids F3 (not urgent), ionic eqm (not urgent), 2 GP application qns, maths s, chem s and letter to my angel somemore! Argh...where do I start first?
Today's PE is running again, 3 rounds this time, 1 more round than the previous week. Was exhausted by the end of 2nd round...then started walking several times :( Took abt 30 min to complete the run...which is very slow I think. My running sucks! Wonder if I can attain a silver for napfa at this rate...
Talking abt silver, I recieved the NS enlistment notice liao, but haven't completed yet. The e-measurement thingy very the ma fan leh...need to use measuring tape (which i dun have) to measure the size of my head, shoulder, waist, etc. My bro says if I fail to get silver, I'll report to NS in Dec. Otherwise I can report in Jan next year. *(!)How come so early?* He mentioned abt the scholar thingy, which simply means clever students start training early. Err...does anyone know anything abt this???
A bit dun feel like going for the East Coast Park thing with the juniors tmr, considering the amount of work I've to do by this weekend... I discuss with Youcheng first.

I live in Changi
Ya, that lau cok cok thinks I live in Changi, at the small street of Jelapang. Ooh...how I love the sounds of planes landing and taking off...whenever I feel bored, I'll visit the neighbourhood 'community centre' and entertain the criminals. Why didn't he tot I live in Jurong instead? (since this is what he always calls me...)
Btw I call him lau cok cok cos he's really a lau cok cok, still clinging onto those ancient rules which nobody bothers nowadays. This name suits him in every way.
Eh? That very familiar girl I saw during yesterday's sectionals was't who I tot she was? Funny leh...both are wearing the same uniform, almost the same face...???

Time flies...
Wow...it's Week 3 already, time really flies. 7 more weeks to the end of this term, which means Capriccio is coming, as well as block test 1. Then 10 more weeks to June Holidays...haha, why am I thinking so far? Btw today I was shocked when I knew that Hari Raya Haji is going to fall on this coming Friday! Yay. Actually I would prefer next Monday instead, cos Friday only got 5 periods, not worth for a holiday. Say Kai raised sth which I wonder too: Since we've merged with chinese high, will we get the extra holiday after the 2-day CNY?
First time hc band played together with chinese high band in today's combined assembly. When the hc band reached the field, we were lost at where to stand. Eventually we got our positions...the girls weren't aware of the alignment, some still chatting when we weren't supposed to, standing/holding instrument in a sloppy manner, fidgeting, etc... For the first time standing there, I can understand the uneasiness, but I dunno how it will look from up the terraces. There wasn't any major screwups, just some girls unsure of the instrument placement during 'senang diri' position, and that the band is not supposed to say the pledge. From the field, I can see that the college side of the terraces was rather squeezy. And ya, the band 'suddenly' sounded so soft...I can hear myself playing. Not used to the open environment.
A string of boring lectures and tutorials, shall summarise my thoughts here:
- Dun like vector spaces, still very unclear abt the theory behind it.
- If the phy teachers know we can't finish in time, why set such a long test?
- Ms Esther Tan treated my junior class the same way she treated mine. Now most ppl dislike her. Laughed at one comment: "Act chio buay chio."
- Mr Wong sucks sucks sucks sucks sucks sucks sucks sucks^infinity.
- Mrs Lee pronunciation is bad...
- Mr Tan doesn't seem to know the topic (Matrices) very well.
- Mrs Baddiley is ill.
I was at the class bench all the time during the break, so my angel dun dare to take my letter from the box. When the seniors left for lesson, Wenjia forgot his water bottle and went back to the bench to take it. 'Suprisingly', my letter was gone...and was replaced by another postcard by my angel. Heh...95% confirm who's she liao, esp after reading Youcheng's mortal's letter.
Saw someone very familiar watching the clarinet sectionals today...heard she's joining the clarinet section!

First Junior-Senior Outing
Went to Marina Mall with Youcheng today. He went to join the soccer competition between seniors and juniors while I just stood and watched, and chatted with a few juniors. The non-soccer players decided to play pool instead. Mong is so pro in pool...me haven't played pool since March last year...totally lost the skill to play liao. So I played bridge/daidee instead, with 3 other juniors. Glad that there are a few enthu card players ppl in the junior class, one from bridge club somemore!
Soon it was dinner time...steamboat lor. Took those already cooked/fried food cos I'm not very good in cooking raw stuff. Then played zhong ji mi ma, with harsh forfeits like ask a stranger's tel. no., take food from other ppl's table, do pole dance in front of the public, propose to opposite sex, etc. I was sitting at the ideal position where I wun zhong the number...so I wasn't the victim of all these forfeits. However there was one forfiet where I was forced to do with a girl. (Dunno how to describe the action...something you do in weddings I think.) Time passed and it was 9.30pm liao...took a grp pic before leaving:

Did I get all the names right?

Friday
Friday is my homework day, the day where I relieve my work load in the weekends by a bit. So if anybody is bored or want to talk to me or keep me company, I'll always be at the library during 11.20am to 4.00pm. Dun need to make appointment, just come and say hi. I'll try to entertain you as much as possible. If possible, bring a book to read or sth to do, you wouldn't want to sit there and watch me busy doing my homework.
Feel so sad to disappoint my mortal today. This morning after flag raising, I saw her eagerly searching the angel-mortal box for her letter when I was just abt to put the letter in. I waited for her to leave (disheartened) before taking the letter out of my bag. Then I realised my self-made envelope was spoilt. Put it into my bag again, and immediately rushed for lecture. There was no break (dismissal) until 5 periods later. On the way to an A-block classroom, I saw her looking into the box again and walk away with nothing. Sigh. Immediately after I'm dismissed, I quickly went to the bookshop to buy scotchtape and mend the envelope, then put it inside the box without anyone noticing.
New juniors in today's band prac. Heard there is going to be 20+ clarinets in total...cannot be ba!? Where got so much one? Anyway those junior clarinetists who came today were from ACS(I) (student conductor somemore leh!) , Chinese High (Junzhe) and SCGS. Hope to have fun with them for the next 5 months or so.
After band prac, went to look at the box...my letter is still there...haiz. If I knew this is going to happen, I wouldn't spend all my effort trying to put the envelope back together again. And...very very sry to my mortal! She wun get the letter until next mon...sob.

Chem Day
Today is the day where I have 5 periods of chem in a row - lect, prac and tut. And I just found out that chem s will be held on thurs, yay! So from this year onwards, thurs will be the Chem day! Btw maths s is held on mon, which overlaps with sectionals. So sectionals might be shifted to tues. Wed and Fri are CCA days. In other words, I'll go home late on mon, tues, wed, thurs and fri...erp...that's all the weekdays... What a busy schedule! If I'm lucky for certain weeks, where CCA, sectionals or s papers is cancelled, I can still go home early once in a while. There goes my afternoon nap liao...
Today's PE lesson is the first time I'm running ever since...NAPFA last year? Surprisingly after running, my legs weren't as tired as last time and I'm not sweating as much. That means either I'm fitter or I ran too slowly. It's probably the latter I think....
Wah, the juniors are so fast in writing letters...have 2 letters to reply now...busy busy busy.

CCA Exhibition
Attached 2 Mars bars onto the letter to my angel in the morning. But nobody claimed the letter by break time, so most of my classmates saw it and tot I was so generous. Even some juniors wanted to know who "Jun Rong" is. Just becos of a teeny weeny chocolate I gain a reputation liao...maybe the reason I appear generous is becos other ppl dun attach any goodies onto their letters. Look at other classes' angel-mortal boxes...like Santa Claus' bag leh! While our class' box only looks like a normal mailbox, containing only papers and documents. Very lucky for me to have a pair of enthusiastic angel and mortal, unlike other unfortunate ones whose angel didn't write and mortals didn't reply.
Met Mr Koh in the classroom during the break. Jialing and I chatted with him before Thazin came along and talked abt her family affair, which was so dramatic.
CT period was the AC (Affective Consultant)-meet-students session, just like consortium assembly. There is nothing much except the intro to Artemis, teachers-in-charge and role of our CTs, blah. I tot for J2s most CT sessions will be held in class, but it seems like we'll have a lot of activities going on in the audi, yay!
Then it was CCA exhibition and the band was the first to perform in the plaza...not many ppl were watching though. Next up was CO, where more ppl came to watch. When it came to the MAD performace, everyone swarmed in to watch lor...wah, such popularity! Played Bridge for a while before we were informed that we'll not be performing 2nd time. Gathered in the band room to rehearse Chinese High school song, and then Mr So said that the whole band has to pay for a stolen flute which costs $2500+. If split among all the members equally, every one would have to pay abt $60 lor, for nothing somemore! Siao!
Anyway the hc band will be playing in the combined assembly with tchs band on the field starting from next Monday...so keep a lookout for us!

Learn to appreciate
Learn to appreciate things or ppl before it's too late to turn back. Cherish your friends around you before friendships drift too apart for them to be brought together again. Took things for granted last year and now only loneliness prevails.
Anyway Holy flared up during today's lecture just becos many were late for only a few minutes (less than 4 min) She started to roar and boom at the students who were still walking into the audi the moment the clock struck 8. She was so super loud that I bet her blaring voice could blow down the entire audi. (reminds me of shi zi hou in Kungfu Hustle) To show her temper, she went through the notes very fast and I was unable to catch up with what she was saying...have to re-read the notes over again to digest all the information.
During physics prac, Mr Wong showed his naggy personality again. Dunno how he managed to NAG NAG NAG NAG NAG NAG NAG NAG NAG NAG NAG NAG NAG NAG NAG NAG non stop lor... Somehow now I can understand most of what he said, perhaps I'm already used to the way he talks liao...haha.
Saw some juniors staying back after school to play cards...sigh...I really envy them a lot.

What went wrong?
After dismissal I went to the class bench, there was nobody there. Heard that the junior class had gone to cineleisure to watch movie after the last lecture of the day. Implications?
One year has passed but nothing changed, the class is still as clique-ish as ever during lessons and separated after school. Ever since our seniors last year stopped normal lessons after Sept holidays, the class bench has always been deserted, a huge contrast to the first half of the year where the bench was bustling with junior-senior interactions. Realised that I could get along with the seniors much better than my own classmates and once thought that why weren't they my classmates instead. Now that the seniors have left, I feel lonely again. The junior class this year appears to be much more enthusiastic than my class last year. During break time, each and every one of them disappeared to have group lunch together, leaving the seniors at the bench waiting for the next lesson.
Anyway the subject now is neither the senior class nor the junior class, both only act as a comparison. 'What exactly went wrong in my class?' I asked myself as I made my way home today. Finally after much thought, I felt that the most convincing reason was the poor combination of people in our class with different frequencies. Everyone in the class has different interest which means the only thing that binds us together is academics. Sometimes I find it hard to start a conversation with someone without the mention of school work. Once out of school, everybody would just divert to their own commitments/interest, esp meeting of CCA friends. As for me who has not much commitment outside the class, I would usually go straight home after school. Yes, that's very sad, but without classmates with the same frequency as me, I can't really display my enthusiasm towards the class. To those who think that I'm very unenthu towards class activities, I've to apologise for that. I tried but I'm certainly not enjoying myself at all.
From the first day in S34 till now, I've never said S34 rocks and won't force myself to say that cos I'll just be deluding myself. Seriously S34 hardly ever rocked, it's just like a loose pile of sand which comes together once in a while and then crumbles soon after. The bbq that Mong organised in the December holidays was like an act to coalesce the sand together, but it was not enough since less than half the class was present on that day. Sometimes I wonder if the presence of the more enthusiastic juniors will threaten the unity of our class. It seems like some of my classmates are already getting along with the juniors better than those in our class.
At times I just feel like giving up on the social aspects of our class, which means I'll just concentrate on studying and not attending outings or interact with the class other than academics. That will just be like ostracising myself from the class, which I don't have the the determination and courage to do so. I've a threshold for loneliness too and definitely would not bring myself to such a point where I'm being neglected by everyone.
It's less than a year left before all of us go separate ways to NS/pursuing further studies. Or shld I say abt 9 months left, before everyone enters the final examination mode and the class would socially cease to exist. Shld I prepare to switch to the serious studying mode? Or cherish the remaining time I have with my classmates and hope something will happen in the future which could make me willing say "S34 rocks!"?

Campfire
Today was early dismissal for my class...1120. Wanted to watch war games, but ended liao. Then went for lunch at Yong Chye, their chicken rice is quite tasty. Returned to help Chen Xi paint a little of the Library banner, before going to the library to do my homework :p Didn't go and watch the junior class perform their item in the LT, cos a bit sian with only Mong and Chen Xi there. No S3 items got chosen to represent their respective 'faculty' (or so-called cluster in my batch). S32 got chosen for their flag, but didn't win lah...hehe. Anyway, I had abt 2 hour of band prac before the campfire programme started.
Was very bored at the first part of campfire cos some items and flags were rather uninteresting. Wandered here and there, and was almost on the verge of taking out my tutorials to do until I met seniors like Michelle, Minglei, An Li, Shuangning, etc etc.... Glad to see them again! Reminds me of the memorable J1 days....
Then it began to drizzle a little and everyone had to proceed to the hall. Surprised that the wet weather programme was already planned. But it was last-minute decision so a lot of technical faults here and there. Luckily the rain wasn't so heavy and had stopped quickly so we went back to the plaza again for the finale. Like last year, the fac heads came out with all sorts of outfit, then lighted the campfire, and the supernova star with fireworks hung at the flag pole. The outline of the picture/words didn't burn really well, probably becos of the rain. But nevertheless it was very exciting. Btw last year's campfire left a very deep impression on me.
Finally it was the song and dance session. Formed a ring with the my junior class, and my senior class also joined in. Everyone sang with high spirits. =) As for dance session, I partnered with my mama! Haha... Haven't been dancing for a very very long time, forgot all the steps liao (IIRC I last danced during campfire...wait...no...I didn't have a dance partner at that time). Mama also forgot liao...so our dancing was very messy but fun :P
After this orientation, I think the junior class is more enthu and united than our class lor...I feel so can2 kui4... And the CT rep got very good leadership capabilities too. Can't wait to know them better...proabably thru angel mortal game, for which I'm going to start on the first letter liao.

Disappointed
Mr Wong really sucks I tell you, today is his first proper tutorial with us and it was so screwed up. The first 20 min was spent on admin and all the naggy things that a typical grandpa will say. He spoke in such a way as if he was reluctant to start the tutorial and kept dragging by saying stuff like "I told you to do first two qns right?" over and over again. When he finally started, it was really bad. He said with an old cranky voice, "Ahhh...the answer for qn 1 is B right? Ehh...the answer for qn 2 is C right?" (the 'Ah' and 'Eh' were added cos he was just looking at his blank table, recalling the answers from memory) OMG...is that how he conducts tutorials? Ok...now almost everyone found out that they got qn 2 wrong, and were eagerly waiting for him to explain to us. Then he flashed the transparency of the answer (the workings are not even complete) and began to talk in bits and pieces, pointing here and there the transparency, saying things which are not what we want to know. Can see the bewilderment in everyone’s face…obviously nobody understood him. When we asked him why the answer is not A instead, he gave a very unsatisfactory answer by saying the workings on the transparency are correct. As we asked him further, he started to use words like "I think it's like that..." Aiyoh...can't he just explain the qn in a systematic manner so that we'll be convinced that our answers were wrong? And now even he's unsure of the answer, which is making it worse. Anyway it took me quite a while to finally understand why my answer was wrong. (I clever wat...dotz) What a terrible teacher, shld have been sacked long ago.
Now I worry abt my physics…sigh. Having this kind of teacher in J2, esp one who teaches my weak subject, is indeed a nightmare in my whole of school life. Wonder how am I going to survive all his tutorial/pracs in the future, I rather drop physics…*looks around sheepishly* Actually I shldn’t give up so easily lah…with my standard I shld be able to score as well as the PRCs, if I self study. Anyway I think the PRCs can survive since they’re already so qiang in physics liao. (Yao Chun din do a single physics tutorial but still got an A for physics lor) However I dunno how am I going to squeeze out extra time to self-study physics, esp when I’m going to be busier later on. Grrr…that stupid teacher…make my life so difficult…arghh…he suxxxxxxxxxx lah.
Yay, our PE teacher is still Mr Tan. Took height and weight today…hehe. Anyone wants to take a guess? Haha.
Met Yong Feng during break, glad that he still takes the time and effort to come. Too bad lessons were still going on, so cannot zhao dai him.
Changed chem tutor liao. Our new tutor is Mrs Lee CK aka Tiger Lee. For the past 2 lessons Ms Tan treated us coldly and today she suddenly left liddat. Would probably never know why… Mrs Lee looks rather friendly from the way she intro herself to us. She spoke like she knows students very well…haha. (being in the discipline/mentor committee, she shld lah) I feel rather comfortable with her *for now*, unlike with Ms Tan. She’s not called Tiger Lee for nothing leh…who knows when we’ll be terrorized by her. Hope she can remain as warm and friendly in the future. But heard she’s very strict, so must be extremely careful…
Tmr early dismissal, better bring tys to do… And ya…at night got campfire too…looking forward to meet someone!

Meet the Juniors
The class allocation for J1s are out liao, 4 classes in S3 like before, S6 has shrunk while S7 expanded. (So many ppl wants to take bio every year...) 05S34 has 13 PRCs (exactly half the class) and heard that S31 has 20 PRCs! Lol...I really sympathise with the locals in that class. Met the junior class during CT session and continued the tradition of drinking cod liver oil, and the 'name' game where one will start by saying his own name, the 2nd person must say 1st person's and his own names, and that goes on. Some seniors also came to see the orientation, like Chee Chiang, Khai Qing, An Li, Ming Lei, Yiuyan, etc... Starting to miss them liao. Unfortunately the time slot is too short and the juniors need time for lunch too, so didn't play the games we've prepared. Went to Coro and interacted with some of them. Hope to know more of them soon. So anyone staying for the campfire night on Friday? Since got band prac on that day, might as well stay and watch lor, or if really tired then go home lor. (I'm dismissed at 11.20am on Fridays...how can I not feel tired after several hours of waiting?) Hope this timetable will change...
Today, Justin rejoined the band. Looking at him almost everyday makes my eyes sore. Hate his stupid comments too.

2nd day
First of all let me reply to some of the comments in the tag board. Yes Zhi Wei, a teacher told me that too...so I seriously suspect she's just trying to act act one. Which teacher on earth will give this kind of attitude when just stepped into the class for the very first time? Did she do the same thing when you first meet her last year?
Genie, I've already completed abt 60% liao, spent the whole Sunday working on the puzzle. I dun think the "we" you are referring to would want to come so far to my house just to fix a jigsaw puzzle. But if you really want to, I dun mind. Saturdays are free now and that's a good day for outings/gatherings.
Mrs Jasmine Yap:
Oh I like her so much...she's so niceeee! Very sociable with students, like Miss Pek. She also said the same thing abt my glasses...haha! (those who says that are usually nice teachers) Can't be any happier with her as my tutor!
First lecture with Mr Lau today...yes, he's so monotonous like what he claims to be...Zzzz. That means his lect may have the potential of becoming very boring later on. At least he's better than Mdm Yeo :P
We did practically nothing for the 3 periods of physics prac lor, except for some admin stuff like electing class committee. Erm...Youcheng becomes the CT rep again...haha...cannot let Mdm Yeo know. Then Dawei is the A. CT rep...dotz. As for me, I've given up my post as maths rep to some 'position-less' classmates. Sigh...I can't believe I'm actually going to get along with a CT whom I dun understand what he is talking abt, for a year. That lao ah pek speaks like a rusty engine, full of broken English...not only me, most of the class can't figure out what he is saying at many times. Everytime I hear him speak, even during one-to-one conversations, I've to strain my ears to make out every word he's trying to say. How to teach liddat??? Argh...wo hu cang long my foot! My physics is really so hopeless now...
Tmr is meet-the-juniors session liao. Wonders if there will be 05S34, otherwise we might get a junior class of different faculty. Hope they are a lively batch of ppl.

Back to School
Today is the first day of school, a lot of things to say so I shall split them into sections.
Morning:
Rain and traffic jam this morning...was almost late. Instead of gathering at chs terrace for combined flag raising, the band members have to stay in audi to rehearse the fanfare for J1s welcoming speech. Another bad thing happened - can't find score. While I was walking from the audi to the band room, (the rest of the cohort already went to terrace liao) a teacher saw me and asked, "Why are you walking backwards?". I find her qn terribly amusing, and she accused me of sth I never did (otherwise I would have already tripped and fell). This is what you get when you dun think before asking, so lesson learnt: think first then talk, if not you'll just make a fool of your stupid language.
A lot of latecomers, due to the jam and probably a lot who dun even know they need to report at 0715. (I've reminded some of you so hopefully you weren't late) Anyway the J1 thingy in the audi is almost the same as last year, all the staff sat on the stage. This time, there were Mr Hon and Mr Tan PT among them, as well as the new head of PE dept Mr Terng YL...will ChenYX be here too??? *scared* The English dept received a "Wah...so many teachers" response like last year, the pathetic IT dept got laughed at, also like last year. And Mr Ang remembered to mention the Science dept, unlike last year...lol. Seen the orientation schedule...seems like their first day won't be spent entirely in the audi, got dance and cheer session. War games and campfire on same day (Fri). Fond memories of last year's orientation......
After flag raising, the J2s proceeded to the hall to learn chinese high sch song (didn't go for that one) but heard from Wenjia that most weren't cooperative...sigh. Then it was CT session.
CT/Physics Mr Wong HC:
Argh...what crap! Someone bluffed me that he was 30+ and new to hc, but he's actually nothing but an ah-pek (looks younger than Mdm Yeo) who taught in hc for over 10 years liao. Feels so bad to be cheated... After meeting him in the CT session, I would rather Mdm Yeo be our CT. He's so crappy (told us not to commit crimes in our last year in hc), and naggy (may be as naggy as my ah ma), can't pronounce Chinese names properly (on par with Holy...lol), and speaks English with a very Ah-Pek accent and poor pronunciation that I can't figure out what he's yakking abt. Wah lau, Chinese cannot, English also cannot, how to be a teacher? (really unlike Mdm Yeo who can speak in both languages) Initially I tot he's the male version of Mdm Yeo but now I think he's worse than that. Expect my poor physics to plunge even further. But I haven't seen his way of conducting tutorials yet, so he might be a wo hu cang long...
Timetable:
Basically same as last year, except that some periods were removed like reading period(yay) and afternoon PE(yay) and PW (nuff said). Latest dismissal time become earlier (1520h). Friday is the slackiest man! 5 periods only with no breaks! That means I can be dismissed at 11.20am!!! So SHIOK!! If got any S paper on that day then DIE..... Having this kind of timetable is like a gamble...haha.
Miss Esther Tan:
Wah piangz...first time stepped into class already frowning like there's no tomorrow, and scolded some ppl for being late for her lesson (dun remind me of Miss Mok pls). Feel like shaving off her eyebrows... She demands explanation from the latecomers yet she herself was late. (did she explain to us? Noooooo) Get very annoyed by teachers who act fierce act stern one, like Miss Wee. Heard from other classes that Miss Tan is a nice person so I dun believe what she showed in front of the class today is her real character. PMS PMS!
Mr Tan YM:
His name reminds me of my dear sec 4 chinese teacher Tan Yew Keng...ok that's besides the point. No special comments abt him, except that he looks like a very nice guy. He was taking attendance with the class photo list showing the spectacled me, then when he saw me without specs, he said my eyesight improved liao....dotz.
Mrs E. Baddiley:
She seems like a better GP tutor than Mrs Soo and Mr Dawes. And she suggested many ways to improve our English. Hopefully the class can become livelier during GP lesson now. As for the Issues and Ideas, the whole class got scolded for our poor attitude towards homework....haiz.
Btw chs sec 4 students start to wear hc uniform liao, so dun be mistaken!

School reopens tmr
Sigh...the 2-month holiday has finally come to an end. Glad that I spent my time rather fruitfully by watching TV, playing games, surfing net, reading comics and participate in various outings. (yes...I consider all these as being "fruitful". The unfruitful activities would then be sleeping, doing stuff which could be done during normal school days like homework,...) Never a moment when I feel bored or have nothing to do. In other words, this holiday is well-packed with enriching activities for me (even playing video games can be enriching too!) and I truly enjoyed them. Attending band pracs is like sort of a work to me...hehe.
Haven't finished all my homework yet and I doubt most of you did. Esp the GP homework, I heck care abt it liao. It's not like we are going to hand it in. (teachers are lazy to scan through) At most it would be just a class discussion where we share our answers, and that's when I can cheat my way through...hehe. As for the book review, it's going to be very difficult to bluff...nvm, zou yi bu kan yi pu. For maths tutorials, there's one more to go before I'm fully prepared for the test, which Jieying confirmed it will not be on Monday. As for phy and chem tuts...hehe...let's forget it.
Anyway I bought a 2000 pcs jigsaw puzzle some days ago, scenery type. Completed abt 30% liao. The rest is going to be super tedious since it's pure trial and error...and there are soooo many pieces with the same colour! Sianz, it may take several weeks before I can finish the 'sky'. But, once the picture is framed up, it's going to be very beautiful. 2000 pcs leh...quite big. When I bought the puzzle, I saw some 3000 pcs and 5000 pcs one...wonder if I can ever do that much? The max I've heard is 10000 pcs which is madness! It's going to take years and the floor space of one entire room to finish that!
So what's going to happen tmr morning? Rang wo men shi mu yi dai... (dun say 'rain' pls)

Happy 2005!
Happy New Year to everyone!!! Haiz...dun have the feeling of New Year as I did not celebrate or go out these days. The live broadcast of the Sentosa Countdown Party was also cancelled due to the tsunami. My only companion yesterday was the radio...listened to 933 until 4am, while studying Maths...haha.
School's reopening on the day after tmr. Realised that I'm not really prepared for it yet...bag not packed, file not arranged, homework not completed, etc. There's going to be a maths test on the first maths lecture of the year, hopefully it will not be on Monday. (Then I'll have mon night to study...hehe.) Besides, I think it'll be rather chaotic on the first day esp when it's the first year of merger with chinese high. If anyone still remembers, we'll have combined assembly at chs terraces every mon, and particularly on the first day of school we've to report at 0715 (take note of that...so come earlier!) in the central plaza before proceeding to the terraces. From this year onwards, assembly time will be 0730, 5 min earlier than last year. Hope I won't be late as often as last year...
Received info that S34 will have a new CT, our Physics teacher for this year who is new to hc. Yay...CT session will not be so boring like last year...*hopefully*. Haha...before school starts I've already known all my subject tutors liao (except GP), but that will kill all the surprise on the day. Wish myself a good year ahead!
