Starting from 19 May I won't be able to enjoy saturdays anymore, sobz. More than 10 saturdays will be burnt, and if the weather is bad sundays as well. Really hope there is 1 off day given for each weekend spent.
Training for the marching contingent must be tough...more than 30 rehearsals! Ultra sian diao when I saw the schedule zzz, cos that means I must be present as well.
My off application for monday failed lol, too many ppl taking leave on that day. The regulars got ahead of me. =(

Good or Bad News?
I've been chosen to help out in marshalling for the coming NDP...
Dunno whether this is a good or a bad news. Sounds like a bad news to me at first, knowing some of the experiences that YF went through. Weekends will be burnt, have to report the earliest and leave the latest, very sian when there is nothing to do while rehearsal is ongoing...
On the other hand I can probably look forward to lots of offs (depends on my boss) as well as able to witness the first time NDP is held at the new location Marina Bay. (Wonder how the setup will look like...) Seems not that bad after all right? But it's too early to say now...
Went to Nee Soon Camp today for the rehearsal. The camp is damn big! Though I didn't explore the camp totally, I heard it's bigger than Sungei Gedong Camp hmmm. All the rehearsals will be held there before moving to Marina, so I'll be there for quite some time.
Each marshaller will be attached to a camp where they report to first, then bring the respective parade participants to the rehearsal ground. Seems like the northwest-dwellers are in very hot demand lol. I want to go Stagmont Camp!!! But got feeling that I might go Tengah instead...
Yup, that's the start of my big project till August.

Let's talk abt music now haha. Remember Peggy Hsu? (the one who sang 气球 and 白色婚礼 back in 2002) Heard her new song just now, sounds a bit weird, like those abstract 范晓萱 songs. The title seems to describe her feelings of not cutting an album for a long long time haha.
Another weird thing: S.H.E's new album 2nd hit is titled 五月天, and it's not written by Mayday nor related to them or anything. Hmm, something fishy's going on...

1 Yearzzz...
Realised that most of my friends only have abt 6 months to go before ORD, half my remaining service period. Zzz. But I can foresee more outings and gatherings since they would probably be very free then, heh heh. No more guard duties, outfields, recalls, confinements and all the combat crap. Right? Right? Haha.
Esp with me staying out, I can still spare lots of time during my service hehe. But heard that technicians will have to start staying in from ard July. What a bad news! =(
Celebrated 1 year anniversary with my BMT mates yesterday at Marina Square Seoul Garden, haven't seen them since BMT ended lol. So many clerks...and 1 garang one who upgraded to pes B and went OCS >_>.
I miss my fellow techies...sob. The best bunch of friends I've met in NS...
Heard Tank is going to HCI to perform. So unfair! During my time where got such events one? Ever since Chee Yang entered and won CSS 1 it seems like HCI's chinese music scene is so happening lol. But how come no one from HCI entered Top 20 of CSS 2 this time, disappointing. Top 20 got one 13-years old xiao di di, looking forward to his 'screechy' performance lol.
Currently watching 'Reaching For The Stars'. Story quite interesting so far. Hebe is really pretty and Selina is a little chubby haha.
Actually I feel like starting my own chinese music chart but then nobody see also a bit pointless. Also dunno how many ppl follow my blog...
Must take off next Monday! Then can have a long long weekend liao!

1 Year Anniversary!
Yay! Finally my 1 year mark in NS has come! (By right it shld be tmr but nvm haha) It also signifies that I've another 1 more year to go, haiz. However now I can proudly say that I've reached 50.00% haha.
Know that most of my peers have alr passed their 1 year anniversary long long ago. And some have 50% mark earlier than their 1 year mark, grrr. Nevertheless I'm still quite glad that my turn has finally come, though my ORD date can't be seen on the calendar yet >_<.
Today my exactly-1-year-ago seniors ORDed =). Felt so happy for them, but yet a sense of loss. They are quite a jovial bunch and brought much liveliness to the dull workplace. I could click with them rather well and their leave would probably make me lonelier. =(
They gave everyone (almost) a dinner treat yesterday, then we went to a ktv pub for a drink. Drinking beer seems to block my throat which made me unable sing well haha. Some of the my workshop regulars can sing really really well, wonder if I could ever reach their standard lol.

S.H.E
For the past few weeks I'm going crazy over S.H.E, never felt that way since their debut in 2001. Like a bit the late hor?
I think it all started when I heard Chu Dian on radio in my workshop restroom last month. Suddenly felt very comfortable listening to it, and my appreciation of S.H.E songs went up by a lot. After that I started looking for videos and info on S.H.E's past, which led me to watching videos of Taiwan variety shows where S.H.E starred as guest. Their presence really livens up the show. =)
And thus I also watched many videos on Happy Sunday which they once hosted in. As well as the current Guess x3 where Selina and Hebe took over Rainie and Ah Ya as hosts. (but they seem to be just flower vases) And that led me to watching other Taiwan variety shows like Tian Cai Chong Chong Chong, Tai Cai Xiang Qian Chong, Yu Le Bai Fen Bai, Zhou Ri Ba Dian Dang. Enjoyed them so much to the extent that I think I'm addicted lol. Spent lots of time on Youtube haha.
Hmm, what's wrong with me ah?! Now I'm also thinking of watching the S.H.E drama Reaching For The Stars (Zhen Ming Tian Nv)... Was shown on Ch U before.
Yup, just listened to their new single Zhong Guo Hua over 933, the rap sounds rather interesting, like some tongue twister. Is that one of Jay's works? Looking forward to better songs in their new album haha...
Is this some kind of infatuation that will die down over time? Was once crazy over Gary Cao too, after watching this interesting video:

Jolin's Concert!
Went to Jolin's concert yesterday night! Had been looking forward to it for a long time. This is also the first concert I've attended and it was a great experience!
There were sooooo many dance, I wonder how Jolin could memorise each and every dance steps, as well as the fast lyrics. My camera ran out of battery halfway through the concert, argh. Din manage to catch the best parts after that. These are some pics I've taken, not very well taken since I've so far from the stage and I've no skills lol:

Something very weird, there was no interaction between Energy and Jolin at all, probably cos Energy appeared during Jolin's break. In other words, both of them never appeared on the stage at the same time. I thought Jolin would come out and talk to Energy and welcome them or something...hmmm.
The audience's response was rather disappointing, probably becos there were lots of middle-aged aunties and uncles like my parents haha. Jolin asked everyone to danced along but most just stoned there lol. The high-est group shld be her fans seated at the front rows. She said the Singaporean audience '让我...印象深刻' and '很主动,最不需要我带动的一群'...REALLY MEH? Dunno if she was really speaking from her heart or just being tactful. She hesitated for quite some time before saying it out lol.
The Kbox competition I organised was held yesterday too, and I emerged as the winner! Yay! My efforts in practising paid off! See YF blog for the exact scores. Now YF and ZH wants to sabo me with difficult songs liao haha.

Just a Tuesday night
To those who really believed that I'm moving to a bungalow at Orchard, it was just an April Fools' joke lah, haha. Seems like quite a few ppl were tricked, maybe I could have come up with something more shocking.
Wrote an April Fool's entry last year, abt planning to study overseas...a poor joke and it didn't work well either.

It shows the singing competition which they participated in 2000 before entering showbiz. Selina's performance was splendid, able to pull off a difficult song rather well, really deserved the winner! Ella's singing on the other hand was zzz...lol, but was still confident of herself, great courage! Hebe's one was tyco, haha, at least she did not panic and remained composed, very you xing ge!
Almost couldn't squeeze up 171 on Monday morning, but thanks to a lady I was able to board from the rear door. Why didn't anyone think of that earlier haha. Realised this solution works abt 90% of the time becos ppl at the rear tend not to squeeze themselves. There was enough space for 4 person around the rear area at that time! May not work as well for some SBS buses where the front and rear doors are placed very close to each other...
With this, the chance of me being late in the morning shld reduce greatly...yay!
