Was awoken by the slamming of my home door. Thought it was my mum or dad who went to work alr. Time to wake up too. Saw my hp and it was only 3.30 am...
Being puzzled, I left my room and went to check the other rooms. My bro was not at home, neither was my mum and dad too.
My heart skipped a beat when I feared 'history' might happen just like 12 years ago, which was the last time my parents left the house and did not come home throughout the night. I knew something was terribly wrong and 'that' came to my mind first.
2 possibilities: an accident or 'that'. Wished it was neither that happened. Can't think of anything more that would force my parents (and bro) to leave the house in the middle of the night.
Heard my mum's phone ring outside the house. After listening to the call, my mum explained the situation. It was 'that' as I expected. She told me not to go out in the morning anymore.
Wanted to SMS ZH and YF that I won't be going for the outing, but then hesitated. Even if I dun go out, I will just be staying at home waiting for news/instructions. After all life still continues as normal and I shldn't treat it like end of the world. Moreover I'm only 20% emotionally affected. (for now)
But that 20% is sufficient to make me lose sleep immediately. Trains of thoughts flowed into my mind, and I tossed in bed for 30 min before coming to blog.
Frankly I dread experiencing the aftermath of such incidents. The last experience was 12 years ago when I was just Primary 2. Was still small that time so din really think that much. Now that I've matured, things seemed different.
Prepared to change my schedule becos of this. Hopefully most things will proceed as normal.
Sry to ZH and YF, if I may seem a bit down/distracted/sian during the outing. Sry if I had to leave early too.

一生懸命
Lots of people have been asking me what the countdown in my MSN nick is for, haha. How I wish I can reply 'To ORD!' Most of my batch of classmates are going to ORD next week. Some in the beginning of Dec, and minority in Feb. And I seem to be the only one waiting another half a year more to my ORD in April!!! Arghh...that sucks.
'What are you going to do after ORD?' seems to be a very common question I ask ppl now. Everyone's answer is the same lah, haha, go and find work lor. 'When you ORD?' seems to be a very common question ppl ask me also. My reply is always the same, 'Still long lah, another 6 months to go leh!!!'

Star Awards 2007 nominations are out. Was shocked to see certain nominations in the list, as well as those worthy who are left out from the list. Not really happy with the nominations. Lets see...

陈汉玮《欢乐满屋》 (Pfft...sala show lah. Why nominate a forgettable character in place of a more memorable one in Metamorphosis?)
戚玉武《最高点》(It's either Christopher Lee or Qi Yuwu in The Peak. With Mediacorp heavily boosting 715's popularity, in complement with the 2 movies he has starred in, it's of no surprise he was preferred.)
郑斌辉《幸福双人床》(Ok but not impressive)
张耀栋《爱。特别的你》(What the...? This is ultra Kelong! Another sign of Mediacorp boosting tactics. There is nothing much commendable abt his acting and his popularity is out of the question. Just forget it...)
郑各评《宝贝父女兵》(The most deserving one in this list. I hope he would win. However is a more deserving actor who regrettably failed to get nominated...)
...And he is Rayson Tan (from The Homecoming). Lots of compliments on his superb acting and he was even speculated to win this year's Best Actor. Really dunno what is happening.

白薇秀《宝贝父女兵》(On the edge. The chance of her winning is only 10%)
林湘萍《破茧而出》(Her acting is 有目共睹 de. I hope for her to win but Huang Biren is also a very strong competitor though)
Left-outers: Fann Wong. She pulled off both of her roles this year in Making Miracles and Switched very well. Compared to Rayson's situation, I'm even more puzzled as to why Fann was left out. It's not as if Mediacorp has given up on her...
Jeanette & Rui-En. The well known attitude queens. It's rather a pity that political issues within the organisation have to affect their work recognition.

沈炜竣《宝贝父女兵》(Huh? That toot bao-seller? There are far more deserving nominations than this one. Was shocked to see him in this list)
姚玟隆《凡间新仙人》(Erm...I think this nomination is better being catagorised under Best Comedy Performer. Rarely ppl gets nominated for comedy role. Very hard to judge this one)
Left-outer: Huang Yiliang. First fact - His acting has always been very good. Second fact - he always spouts rubbish on stage upon receiving the award. Mediacorp is probably scared of him alr haha.

徐艳玲《宝贝父女兵》(Extremely shocked to see this 'Ah-Lian'. This is only her very first show! I believe she is too inexperienced and raw to be nominated, forget abt winning. Dun really like her voice in the show but I guess that's what made her so 'ah lian')
潘竖卿《幸福双人床》(Thumbs up for her acting! Jia you, you have my vote =p)
黄慧《爱。特别的你》(Well another kelong. IMO her acting is not really impressive. Somehow when she acts seriously, it still looks funny. Maybe it's her face...)

Metamorphosis
Finally one of the best shows during the Mediacorp era has ended its run. Wished it could be longer but dun want it to end up draggy also. Those who missed any episodes might want to watch it at www.tudou.com =)
Used to sympathise with Wanrou however she eventually emerged as the most ruthless character in the series. 'Top frag'...haha. Glad that Yvonne Lim pulled off this extreme role superbly well. Thumbs up for her performance!

Seems like so many local singers are releasing new songs recently. Heard Jocie Guo's 'My Darling' (with a rather catchy chorus - the guomeimei style as usual), Mavis Hee's '留下'(a movie theme song) Sylvester Sim's '希望' (quite soothing), Jonathan Leong's '情牵25' (medley of local drama theme songs). Not to forget Tanya Chua, Chen Weilian, Kelly Poon and Shi Xinhui who have released their new albums recently.
Wow...a big influx of new songs during this period. Sometimes 3 consecutive new songs can be heard playing in 933.
Currently watching the Japanese version of Hana Kimi (花样少年少女) More interesting and less draggy than the Taiwanese version, though less lame and less funny. (probably cos I prefer Taiwanese 无理头 jokes) The female (male) lead is prettier and more feminine than Ella. However for the guys, Wu Zun and Jiro are better looking. The doctor is more gay in the Taiwanese version haha.

It's October
4 weeks since I stayed in.
2.5 months since I became a clerk.
5.5 months since NDP rehearsals started.
11 months since I was posted in Chong Pang Camp.
18 months since I enlisted.
And there is still 6 months to go!!! When is it going to be my turn???
Still feeling sore over the CMPB thingy. But if not for them, I wouldn't have gotten my driving license and started learning Japanese.
Haven't been going outings recently (other than my birthday treat). Anyone wants to jio me for movies, meals or sth? Cycling, badminton, etc also can.
My offs/leaves have become so mundane, wasting most of the time sleeping only.
Haven't touched Playstation for a long time, but there dun seem to be any attractive games since FFXII last year.
Even my Japanese teacher last minute take MC last Saturday. Was happily anticipating the lesson when I realised it was a wasted trip to Orchard.
Have a sudden urge to go overseas, go see new things, go take nice pictures, go buy interesting stuff...
Crunchyroll, youtube, Yes933, Silkroad, online forums won't satisfy long term.
Just one word: sian.
