This entry is supposed to be written one month ago. It was only these few days when I could squeeze some time out to type this. I shall provide some translations so that you guys can at least understand a bit.

Went for a visit to Mediacorp 96.3 FM studio during the recess week. It has been a long long time ever since I first stepped foot into that place. The previous time, and also my very first, was to watch The special guest was 潘美辰, so you can imagine how long ago was it haha.

The small studio room was heavily filled with equipment, like computer monitors, TV set, fax machine, CD player, the control panel with lots of buttons and levers, etc. Everything that a DJ probably needs to host his programme. There were also lots of time keeping devices, such as clocks and counter timers, so that the DJ could exactly tell how long before mike is on air again.

There is more to a DJ's job besides speaking to the mike. Really lots of preparation work to be done.

Everyone remained silent as the 'ON AIR' signal turned red, as we watched the DJ chattering away and reading mails from listeners. It's amazing how she could do that so smoothly and in front of 36 people crammed in the small room.

I had the chance to record my voice too! Gave a short introduction of myself, and was allowed to request for a song. =p

Part 2

After the studio visit, we returned to school again for an exchange session with Momoyama University students.

IMO 1 of the girls looked like a Taiwanese singer...

Two weeks ago my recorded self-intro was finally broadcast! Guessed nobody else I knew listened except myself haha. Was quite surprised that the DJ actually did an extended intro of me...>_<

Have to thank my teachers for giving me such rare chance to appear on air. =)

Unavailable

Due to crunch time, I have to neglect my blog for the time being. There are entries I want to post, but no time to write.

You may want to visit the Zhui Xing blog (link above) if you want to read more of my entries. They are under 'Servbot Library' tag. Anyway the entertainment news is worth reading too.

Crunch Time

It was really a crunch week for me, much busier than the last week before recess. I initially thought the week after recess would be slacker, but the influx of mid term tests and newly uploaded tutorials and assignments made the week more packed than expected. Studying for tests does take a considerable amount of time, as we often study beyond what was required. It seems like the lecturers were taking a break during the recess week too. The workbins were quiet all the way until term started, when new files began to spring up simultaneously.

I would prefer tutorials and assignments to be uploaded in as advance as possible, but it wouldn't make a difference since I wasn't able to settle everything by recess week anyway haha.

This is so unlike last semester, when I became so free in a span of 3 weeks after recess, since I completed most stuff in advance. Well, I was hoping for the same thing to happen for this semester too...

Even my favourite Japanese module turned into some kind of a chore. Had to prepare for lessons in one way or another on almost every weekday. But currently I'm looking forward to writing a Japanese report, as it will really challenge my writing skills in addition to my limited knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. Ironically, I'm dreading the other English report. I wish I could write that in Japanese too. =p

My JLPT results came a few weeks ago. Scored around 85%, poorer than my previous years but considered quite good by level. Managed to score full marks for one of the sections too. =) Now that leaves one more final level awaiting to be taken, but I think I'll give it a pass for this year. Firstly I heard the level is too high for any practical usage. Secondly, I don't want cram all the preparation within 9 months. Thirdly, I don't think I'll have so much time to study.

But then again, I might change my mind when school holidays start...

Anyway 'A' level results were released yesterday. My ex-student hasn't replied my message yet...

Stay efficient! Have a Kit Kat!
