O lvl Results

Many ppl were shocked by my new haircut today. I realised it's no big deal actually cos a lot of ppl around me also cut their hair during the weekend. Many said my new haircut is better than the previous one...which I think so too. Short hair easier to manage mah, dun need to keep tidying my hair every now and then. The left wing bench area is always very windy...very irritating if my hair keeps flying around. Some ppl tell me to spike, but I dun think it fits my personality lah...just a natural hairstyle will do, I'm a plain person.

Today is the release of o lvl results...J1 seems excited today. Heard many from my junior class scored 7-8 pts, a few 6s, some 9 and one 12 (which is very bad i think). I guess most of them shld be able to stay in hc. Some might change sub combi some might change jc...not sure yet. I just hope that the junior class wun split up. These shld be the last o lvl results for those through-train schs...saw from the news that RI and RGS produced majority of the top scholars. While heard that there are no 11A1s in Chinese High at all...so sad, probably cos few took 3rd language. Chinese high didn't do quite well this year (last year's batch was better)...sigh, and there will be no more next year liao. A bit worried for some J1s whom I want them to stay but didn't score very well...

Hmm...when is the A lvl results going to be released???

AJC

Went to AJC for band prac today without the consent of the band teacher-in-charge Mr So becos he refuses to let us have sat practices. This prac was rather sneaky...can't even book a bus to ferry us there, at most can call in a lorry to transport the instruments/files/stands. We sat at the back of the sheltered lorry, then it started to rain and rainwater began to splash into the lorry...most of us got wet...(the girls were excited at first but then became frightened...haha)

However this prac was very unproductive and inefficient. We only had 1 hour+ of sectionals (in fact it was just individuals), shorter than the time taken to travel back and forth AJC. The rest of the time was spent in the exchange programme with AJC band (which was not our plan)...this was just to provide a valid enough reason for us to enter another college on a saturday. But we played rather badly in front of the AJC band cos we weren't really prepared. So diu lian! Bad thing is, the principal of AJC weren't very happy abt us coming into the college out of sudden, and the teacher-in-charge of AJC band didn't know abt the 'exchange programme' when asked by the principal. In other words, this prac was a bad decision since we created more trouble and didn't really benefit from the measly few hours of prac there. Furthermore we plan to lie to Mr So abt going to AJC, cos he seems to know that we brought our instruments out of sch this morning. What a chaotic situation...a bad plan indeed.

Met up with Bingye, Wu Rong and Yingying and went together to visit Chen Xi at NUH. Saw Youcheng, Jialing and Thazin on the way in. And Mrs Lee too! (who gave Chen Xi $20) Heard Mr Ang also visited him...wah! Jieying, Shuk and Chen Xi's gf were already there when we entered the room. Chen Xi looked quite fine, and he claimed that he's more energetic than us. Other than that 'dian3 di1' (the bag of fluid thingy) attached to his body, he looked rather normal. We talked abt what exactly happened after he finished the run and became semi-conscious, and Chen Xi also shared his experiences during the period when he was sent to hospital.

Then went to cut my hair...my neighbour mistook me for my brother...

Cross Country

First time combined cross country with Chinese High at Turf City. Very excited cos nvr been inside Turf City before. Quite deserted leh...cos not very accessible. The shopping centre also not many ppl, saw many shops close down liao. The main shops left are the big departmental store and Giant supermarket. (reminds me of the Ten Mile Junction SC near my home).

Went there in the afternoon (when it was so hot) and started to run only at 4pm. Before that was the competitors running first. The path is rather weird, firstly we ran behind the trees surrounding the field, then emerged out to the very open field (can be seen easily from the grand stand) where there are several loops. (like those dirtbike race tracks) I feel like a racing horse...

Kaizhi, Saykai and I planned to run together but somehow in between Kaizhi ran first, followed by Saykai then me gasping for breath at the back (no stamina mah...>_<). The initial pathway was sooooo crowded, have to overtake a lot, wasting my energy. Fortunately overtaking is easier in Turf City than in MacRitchie cos the sides are just grass instead of trees or muds. Very very proud with myself for not stopping(walking) throughout the whole run. Things which motivated me to run was: 1) Surrounded by so many chinese high ppl. Somemore I was easily recognised as a J2 since I was one of the few ppl wearing the old hc pe shirt. Felt obliged to run faster than them otherwise will diu lian. Can be seen from the grandstand too so better not slack. 2) Overtaking girls (esp my bandmates). Met certain bandmates during the run...called their names then overtook them. Very mean right? 3) For blogging/haolian purpose. During the run I kept thinking, "If I dun stop then I can include my achievements in my blog or tell others abt that." Hehe.

After the run, walked lethargically back to the grandstand then followed Saykai to Giant but we weren't allowed to enter the shopping centre...so walked back again. Finally it was prize presentation ceremony. Jialing came in 13th in the A Girls...WOW!!!...Congrats to her! Still able to run so fast despite knee injury...pei fu. For boys the fastest in my class was Chen Xi. But apparently he pia-ed too hard and fainted after finishing =S Now he's warded in hospital...may go visit him... Mrs Yap won the 3rd place in the staff race in younger teachers category...yay.

Leg aching now...arm aching also (but not due to cross country). Tmr still need to go AJC for band prac...haiz.

Sian Day

Tues will be my sian day cos...ya, it's so sian, esp with GP and phy prac at the next half of the day. GP is abt writing a letter to Bush commenting his actions...as if I care...I would rather write "Bush, you look like monkey...lololololol" Then phy prac is another slacking session, played 'Connect' with Wenjia. Sigh...I wish I can lodge a complaint against that Mr Alright, but see him old and senile liao so gei ta yi dian mian zi.

Rumoured that O lvl results will be released this coming Friday, when cross country will also be held. Not very possible for both to fall on the same day cos we are holding a combined cross country with chinese high. So either the results are released next week or cross country has to be postponed. I think it's the former...due to some observations...

Saw the notice board for the class blog competition. As far as I know, only I have a blog in my class >_<. Oh fine...my class is not a blogger class, no wonder I dun feel so close to my classmates...haiz.

Dramafest

Went with my section to watch dramafest yesterday. It's pretty good, not like those slipshod skits we see in campfires. I wonder if they planned the order of plays from the worst one first to the best one last. (cos it's quite obvious that the plays get better and better as the programme proceeds) Sad to say, my fac Artemis' play was placed first...the settings and story were not very outstanding compared to others. The best play was by Apollo and lasted for very longggg (abt 45 min I think) but was very interesting. It's so creative of them to think of such ideas! Apollo's play also bagged the best supporting actor/actress, best actor/actress, best director and best overall play...6 awards IIRC (out of 8). Haha...the da ying jia for the night. I'm surrounded by apollos too esp from band. I know of a lot of apollos than any other facs. To me, Apollo seems so outstanding/prominent...

After the 4 plays there was a special item by some fruits & vegetable band who sang fruits and vegetable song. It's funny at first, but gets very boring after a while, and then becomes annoying. (Seriously I dun quite like their songs) Maybe partly becos my butt was super sore after sitting on the steps for few hours.

Sigh...slept for very very long today (including an afternoon nap even after waking up past noon =S). Maybe cos too little sleep for the past 1 week, and forced myself awake to abt 2am yesterday after a long tiring day. Slept too much, cannot finish my homework liao >_<.

2.4km trial

Finally today is the 2.4km trial run. The weather is very hot lately so running under the hot sun at ard 10am really drains energy. Did well for the first 3 rounds (under 2 min per round) but subsequently slowed down and completed in 12.30+, just missed the passing mark 12.30 by a few seconds. Sigh, if I had run a little faster in the last round I would have passed. But the good thing is, this is the first time I ran under 13 mins! What an improvement! Hopefully in the next run I will be more energetic, then can successfully conquer 2.4!

Unfortunately I din meet the mark in SBJ so have to go for extra training on tues or thurs. Sian. My sit-ups are very weak, and my shutter run isn't very good either. Seems like I still have lots of work to do...haha.

Did our first QA experiment today after a year in hc. Haha...I miss QA. Today's expt was abt organic compounds, sth that we've never did in sec sch (always identifying cations and anions...). Handling organic compounds is so ma fan and they look so oily to me. Made my first ester also...supposed to be sweet smelling but mine smells so sour, like sweat liddat!

Looking forward to the weekend cos I want to finish as much tutorials as possible and keep myself free to read comics on weekdays! The current comic I'm reading now has a bread-making theme. Gained a lot of knowledge abt bread and some science. (who says comics aren't educational?)

Going for dramafeste tmr. Nvr been to last year's one before, so dunno how is it like.

Total Defence Day + Ren Ri

Just realised that Total Defence Day is right after Valentine's Day. Coincidentally, today is also Ren Ri (so Happy Bday to everyone...haha). Some ppl still giving presents today (cos forgot to prepare yesterday)...so I'm not the odd one out...hehe. Hope my angel and mortal like my present.

I'm feeling so sian already, 5 days of CNY holiday just pass liddat, nth to look forward to anymore. Still have to worry abt the huge pile of work waiting for me to complete. Heard band pracs have increased from 3 per week to 4 per week! Plus S Paper, plus napfa project thingy...ARGHHH!!! Spending so much time in sch is really so sian lorz...esp when I've better things to do at home. I feel like a dead person now, with totally no life.

I wonder if I were to be in a neighbourhood sch, would I be as 'happy' as now? Somehow there is a mysterious voice telling me that if I work hard now, I can enjoy later. But that isn't really true...look at our paths of life: nursery -> kindergarten -> pri sch -> sec sch -> jc -> uni -> work + family. You'll realise that as life proceeds, you will become busier and busier, more work and lesser time for enjoyment. So I hereby disprove the statement above. But I dun mean that we can slack all the time. Just do the minimum work to sustain our desired pathway in life and save the rest for enjoyment. If you treat work as an enjoyment, then I've nth to say lah...haha.

Sianz.
